I always have this in my cabinet. It is my go to for animal injury. My cat is an over-groomer and gets big hot spots. She also gets into places she shouldn't and has had the occasional wound. It's easy to use and helps her to leave her wound alone as it heals. I've put photo of wound and photo of it healed. You can't even tell she was ever hurt.
I bought this for my cat's hot spots. I am using it to calm the skin and aid in healing until he sees a dermatologist. He seems to like it when I put it on and it does indeed seem to relieve the irritation. nice product for sure. I have used a similar product by the same company for minor scratches on my pets chickens as well.
This is what the vet wanted me to get. It arrived in less than 24 hours at a comparable price. Much quicker than chewy or amazon. Seems to work great and heal wounds quickly. Walmart is becoming my go to shopping site!
The hydrogel helped my cats ears heal, soothed and moisturized them from the dry winter air. They are happy, and I'm so glad to see them not scratching. It almost works instantly. We thank you for making such excellent products.
Cat that s a fussy cat not a problem he liked it.
It brought relief from pain and quick healing to my cat's wound.
This worked so very well for my cat. For some weird eason we got horseflies in lur house. They are gone now. My Cat got bit or fly layed eggs right above her two eyes. The skin was red with a few eggs in it..Ugly looking nad very maddening for me with those big flies. Never had them before so clue where they came from. today is the 17th and I started suing it jan 3 1 sp that is 17 days. You can barely see the spots where the flies bit here.. her hair has already grown over it and her skin is very clear and dry. Aesome product for my cat.
Worked so well for my cat. He was constantly scratching his neck. He had odd bumps on skin. He is an indoor cat….but slipped out. Wondering if he rolled in something Couldn’t get into vet. Rural area…vet appts are tough to get. Bought this in between appt. Ended up canceling appt. This took care of problem !
My cat had a very large wound between his left ear and right over his left eye. Hydrogel was welcome because I didn't want steroids, and this gel has no steroids. The antibiotic treatment was no longer necessary, and the Veterinarian approved the use of this gel. What I did not like was that it is a spray. Why this pharmaceutical fad of spray medicines??? Doctor prescribed eye drops to protect his eye from the spray, but I could not administer the drops, especially with him wearing a cone. I put the gel in a bottle that can be used to drip a drop at a time, and tried to smear the gel with the tip of the bottle. The first time I used it, he wanted to scractch. However, that didn't happen again, and the wound is healing rather rapidly. I am very thankful that I found this Vetericyn hydrogel, and that the Dr. approved of it, as well as of the manner that I used it with a drip bottle. I recommend it highly!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product application is easy if you have an easy mannered cat. It’s a spray so my cat twitched when the liquid hit his skin, but other than that had no reaction. I sprayed it around his ear because sometimes he itches so hard he leaves scratches on his skin. The product sits on top of the wound sort of as an ointment. I can’t really tell if it’s doing anything though. Seems like the same thing as neosporin for humans, hard to tell if it’s making a difference, but a solid product to use for good measure.
