I totally swear by this product. I have two dogs, one dachshund and the other a terrier mix and I believe the mix is again dachshund because they share the elongated back with slight dipping. Both have thrown their backs out jumping up on elevated surfaces. I purchased ramps for their favorite spot in front of the window and researched supplements that maybe could aid daily with the problems of this breed. I consulted their Vet as well and let her know about this product I'd settled on and thankfully she agreed with this product and instructed me to continue. My adult dogs run, when properly stimulated and haven't had any issues with their backs and one of the two will run to me upon hearing the familiar sound of this products packaging and insist I give hers directly rather than put it aside their breakfast bowls like I normally did. Again, I swear by this product!
I searched and searched for a good, quality, and highly rated hip and joint supplement for my dogs. I have two, one is 14 and the other is 12. A few years ago I started worrying about their mobility issues. The 14-yr old had shown signs of problems in her back legs. She's a Yorkie and LOVES to run - top speed - all.the.time. When I saw her in the very back of the back yard just sitting, when she got up and tried to walk, she stopped immediately and sat back down, and looked at me for help. I, of course, ran to Her. When I picked her up and started rubbing her legs, the left leg popped. I knew right away what it was. This VetIQ is an exceptional brand and the Hip %26 Joint had really excellent comments. My Yorkie has never since had her leg lock, nor has she slowed down at all. My vet even commented that she didn't seem to be 11 at all. My other dog, a Zuchon, hasn't shown any signs of problem mobility at all. So, way to go Vet IQ!!! You have a loyal customer!
I'm not sure what magic formula they use, but it's incredible. my 13 year old lab can jump in and out of cars! she can jump on the couch! she could not do this just a few weeks prior! I feel like after 2-3 weeks, she was a sudden younger dog again. not perfect but I'm amazed.
This is a great product! My senior dog was having trouble getting up the steps, so I decided to try this. I give him 2 a day, and it's made a huge difference. He's happier, actually jumps around to play and runs up and down the steps. I definitely recommend!
My dogs are so finicky they're monthly flea and tick pills that they literally push down their throat. It's crazy! But this I get my smaller dog one my larger dog too they take them like a treat. I've only been using them for about a week, so hopefully I can do a follow up review on how my older girl is feeling and moving around at this point, I'm gonna say you have a finicky dog you need some glucosamine. This is worth a try because they will eat this hopefully like I said I can do another review later to see if she has some more pep in her step, she has joint issues with her legs, and I hope this gives her some relief.
My elderly dog loves Zuke's Chicken Hip %26 Joint, but Walmart doesn't offer the smaller size currently. I was hoping Gus would like VetIQ brand just as well, but he doesn't. I'll offer these again. He's a fussy about treats, especially if they're good for him.
I've had my 2 dogs on these VetIQ hip and joint supplements for almost 3 years now, and I know the dogs love them and they really work! Back when we started with them, in about a week, I could see my dogs running more! One is an American Akita and my vet told me he really needs glucosamine because he was already showing signs of arthritis. But now he can tear through our back yard like a youngster! And my other, older Rottweiler mix acts younger too. It's all from these VetIQ jip and joint supplements. I won't let my dogsgo without them!
I really think it helps my dog. i actually stopped giving it to him and could see a difference in him. so we went back on it. he is 72 lbs. and only give him 2 to 3 pills a day. he does have arthritis and is a senior dog. we have been giving him these for about three years.
it was less than a week and it has worked so well for my older baby she has got a lot more energy bouncing around doesn't seem as stiff and uncomfortable she was before if you have a senior pet that has arthritis or joint issues I would try this I'm not saying that it would work for everybody cuz every baby is different but it did help mine very much and cuz she was in a lot of pain and whining and howling and this is just helped thank you for this product
For the dog that used to zoom… and now negotiates stairs. Easy to give, most dogs think it is a treat, which is half the battle won. Over time you can actually notice a little more pep, a little less “old man getting up off the couch.” Not an overnight miracle, but it feels like it helps keep things moving smoother. If your dog is picky, this usually passes the sniff test. Solid option if you are trying to support joints without turning it into a daily struggle.
