Vibrant Life Extra Large Open Top Cat Litter Box

Not as deep as my old one, but I think it will work as a back up. We had an outdoor cat adopt us a few months ago, and we realized she was pregnant and on Sunday evening, she gave birth. We got this to use in the basement since we have the mother and new kittens upstairs.

My boy cat absolutely loved it great buy . He made a mess the first time , only because trying to extinguish his litter box being the appropriate size that he ( Scarr) wanted and it being durable for him, but he loves it he's a six year-old cat male cat. So glad we got these two litter boxes! They are not high-sided, so it makes it much easier for our older cat to get in and out of them. With the boxes being extra large, it also makes it much easier for our larger cats to use them and not make a mess on the floor around the litter box. The depth of the box is great because it holds enough litter for multiple cat use.

The right size! I hadn't had to set up a litter box in a long time, but my cat got sick a few months ago and couldn't go outside. I bought a stainless steel one since I saw a lot of good reviews on them. Apparently, my cat is old school and wasn't pleased with the metal pan. Plus, as I soon found out, this pan was too small. I spotted this one at Walmart. It's roomy, the walls are high and the “oversprays” have stopped. Yay! Sometimes it's the little things in life that are victories.

This box is the perfect size for my cats. It gives them plenty of space, it's sturdy, and it is very easy to scoop. When I've had it a few months, it's inexpensive enough that I can wave goodbye to it as the trash truck takes it away, and order another one. It's the perfect box for my big furry babies!

bought this cause my cats get litter all over the place with the more shallow box i had before. The higher sides make a big difference. Just don't overfill it thinking you dont have enough litter in there, otherwise it will negate having higher sides

It took three tries to get a large litter box because they kept delivering the wrong one. I like the high sides and length. I have multiple cats, but only one is a regular-sized cat. The others are a small breed. The larger one likes to urinate over the end. They like to throw litter everywhere. What I don't like is the thickness of the plastic. It could be stronger.

I had been using a 5" high boxes that I have had for over 25 years. My latest cat is a digger, covering his pee and poop with the clay litter. He was throwing a lot of litter out of the box when he covered his poop. This box is 5-1/4" on most of one of the narrow ends to allow easy entry. It rises to 5-3/4" at the corners of that narrow end. Then about 6" along the sides toward the other end, the box increases height to 6-1/2", and the opposite narrow end continues at 6-1/2" high. Problem solved! Now he only occasionally throws any litter at all out when covering. And even when he does, it is only a few grains of the litter. The inside surface of the box resists poop or pee sticking to it as good or better than other plastic boxes (I don't want stainless steel boxes because I don't want to hear the sound of claws scratching it when he is scraping to cover. The box would be even better if they used thicker plastic for durability. That is the only reason why I did not give it 5 stars.

I like the price, size, and non-stick surface and very fast delivery. However, for the amount and weight this can hold, the plastic should ideally be a little thiker/sturdier. I'm not throwing it away but I picked it up with kitty litter in it, and the box's edge torqued a little from the weight--which cracked the edge. It's a short crack and my cats can continue using the still-new box. Maybe ideally this litter box should be placed on something like a tray which could be lifted...but that also doesn't sound appealing to have to do.

I bought this litter box because the listing shows it as being 9 inches tall, but that is not accurate. I measured the one I received and it is not even 7 inches tall, so the advertised height is very misleading. That matters a lot for a litter box because I specifically needed higher sides to help with litter scatter and cats peeing near the edge. It also claims to be non-stick, but litter and residue still stick to the inside, so that part is misleading too. The box itself is usable as a basic low-sided litter box but it should not be listed as 9 inches tall or advertised as nonstick when it clearly isn't. I would not have bought this if I had known the real height and that litter would still stick to it. The product description needs to be corrected.
