I purchased the Victor Rat Zapper. It actually works well.Easy setup just put some bait on the inside back wall with a toothpick or qtip install 4 AA batteries place it where you need it most and push the button. It does kill rats.Im impressed.Of course you can use it for other rodents like mice too. Will definately purchase more in the future.
Works great. I would add that the box indicates a green light blinks when you turn the zapper to on. That is incorrect. It's a red light. I'd also recommend that you check traps twice a day (like 7PM & 7AM). Go online for cleaning instructions. After 6 days of use we needed to clean one of the two zappers we bought. Easy clean with with water, a spoon of liquid dish detergent and a little vinegar. Use litium batteries. We used energizer in one zapper and it appeared one rat escaped. We thought it might be due to lack of power. We have killed about 8 or 9 rats so far in our attic and we are not yet done. Consider getting 2 zappers if you think you have a serious problem.
We live next and behind a heavy wood area. When it rains heavy , the woods flood and all the mice starte to head for our garage. The Chipmonks eat the peanut butter off the sticky pads . Don't know how the do it without getting stuck. When I got my Victor Zapper I was thinking, another contraption that's not gonna work! WOW.....not the case!! Put a tiny dog biscuit in the back and set in in position. 17 mice in 17 days!!....That's incredible . Just turn off the switch and dump out the critter in the garbage . Put in new little biscuit turn it back on and sha-Zam. Clean... Fast...and no more sticky Peanut Butter! Buy this product....You won't regret it...John J
I was skeptical but chipmunks were setting up house in an attached storage room and I was afraid they would make their way into the walls of the house. So far we have zapped 4 of them on 1 set of batteries.
The unitworks great.the drawback is it needs new batteries after every 6 kills. Also the price went up fromlast year. It's getting to be too much money for this convenience.
We had one several years ago %26 it was fast %26 efficient. You just dump the dead rodent %26 rebait. Loaned it to a bachelor. Got it back after 3 months with dead rat fur stuck to it. Scrapped, sprayed, etc... rats never would get near it again. Heard rats again. Bought this new one. Put bait, set trap, 3 days, still haven't caught a single one. Time to get the pnut butter bait set up.
The first one I used kept lighting up and there was never a mouse. I gave up trying to use it.
I ordered two units, one of them arrived defective and doesn't work, hence the poor review. The one that does work,I am pleased with.
Since purchasing this device about 5months ago, I have yet to zap a rotten.
I set it up as per instructions. Filled it with bird seed, and the next morning the red light was on, bird seed gone, no rat. Tried a different set of batteries just in case maybe they weren't working correctly, same result. I will be returning the product.
