Victor Snake-A-Way Snake Repelling Granules, 4lb bag

I was born in the South. But, I have travel around the world in government employment. I do not do stakes period. This is my second year using this product. Never seen a snake in my yard ever since usage if this product. But, my neighbor has had stakes in her yard.

My yard person found two copper heads in my yard. I was very surprised. Knew I need to address the situation. I found this product on Walmart's website. It is easy to supply. It had good reviews. The bag is 4 pounds which gives good coverage. I purchased two bags. The first one I purchased, I gave to a friend for her yard. She told her neighbor about the product.

Its just overall an amazing product. I live offgrid and use it like no other. It works and oddly as it may sound, the strong scent is a plus. Ive seen 3 snakes on our property in three years, but while using this product haven't seen anymore.

When I started buying this product, I wondered if it really worked. Well it really does!!! We live next to a lake, and for the last 2 seasons, the only snakes we have seen were before we started spreading out the Snake-Away product. Once, I started spreading it out every season, we haven't seen any more!! My dogs are good at finding them, and they aren't finding then either. Great product!! Thank God!!

Snake away is needed in Florida in every yard. I like to add a little more every time the lawn is mowed.

VERY POISONOUS TO PETS. Victor is a trusted poison for rats etc. but "snakexaway products work by scent in all brands including Victor... the ad presentation does not warn that it is extremely poisonous, the FINE PRINT WARNING has extensive warnings about even getting the dust on your clothes

To be honest, i cant say its helped repel snakes. I like to think it does. But be aware it will leave a stong smell wherever used. Granite thats whats supposed to repel snakes, but i cant guarantee that.

The bag keeps the product order in. When I opened the bag, the chemical smell is overwhelming and toxic smelling. I used gloves to scatter the product around the house. The order is very strong and entered the house. We have raised the windows all week to air out the house. As for the outside visitor, it appears to have left. The outdoor of the product is very minimal outside after a week. I am assuming the product is no longer working. I still see pellets on the ground. I need to find a different product because we cannot tolerate that chemical smell. It is mothball and petroleum type smell. I don't recommend it.

"DON'T BUY" I have used snake away many times, always had strong smell. Bought 3 bags this time, none of them had any smell. Think product was not good, maybe too old or maybe faulty product. Feels like a waste of my time and more importantly "MY MONEY". Very disappointed with product. And they refuse to answer the phone calls or return any messages. As a customer of this product for a long time, it sucks that "they just don't care" about you.

Purchased 2 bags b/c I noticed I had black snakes getting into my pool enclosure. I followed directions how to apply product but, it did not work at all. I put a 4 lb bag around parimiter inside of enclosure. . I then applied the other 4 lb bag around outside of the enclosure. Well not even few hours later a large black snake was inside enclosure I went over to snake it jumped at me. I ran to put high garden boots on and I grabbed a rack and I had all to do to get him out of the enclosure. Few hours later I looked out my slider to find another snake along with the original larger snake. I again struggled with 2 snakes coming at me and jumping. I finally got both out of enclosure and threw them over my fence away from my home. Again few hours later I saw a 2 ft one and once more I had to get it. Unfortunately this product was a waste of money for me. I was definitely upset and disappointed. I'm afraid to have my 2 small dogs go outside to play between the product I applied all over and snakes either they'll get bit or die from the product according to the information on back of bag that gives a warning product is very harmful to pets and people. Waist of money and time. Big disappointment.
