Virginia Cross-Back Counter Stools 24", Set of 2, Black

I just received my second set of these stools the first set being purchased about 3 years ago and the 2nd set just recently. The table we used them for used to be up against a wall and is now in the middle of the room so more chairs were needed is why we ordered them so far apart. These stools go together very easily and quickly if you have a power screwdriver, the seat is the hardest part because there are no pre-drilled holes but with a little muscle the power screwdriver does the trick. I bought these chairs to go with a table from Crate and Barrell they match it perfectly and have also held up better than the expensive table. They look more expensive than they are however they are not the most comfortable things to sit in for long periods, they are perfect if you are just using them at meal times.

My husband and I just moved into a new home with a large island. We've been looking for 4 chairs for about 6 months and that's when we saw these. We were concerned with the quality for the price but we liked the look so we took a chance. Other chairs we liked were $200-500.00 each so you can't beat this price. They are made of wood and pretty solid. My husband is in construction and even he was impressed with the quality for the price. He did have to put them together, but it was worth it and pretty simple to do. They work perfect in our space and I would absolutely tell someone to checkout Walmart for these.

The stools came site to store in a reasonable time and my hubby put them together very easily. The appearance is great and fits our needs. Thanks!

I would definitely recommend the Virginia Cross-Back Barstools from Walmart! =-) They were a very good price, a good quality and very sturdy. They add a freshness to our kitchen in the area where we are using this set of barstools. Very happy with this product! Thank you Walmart =-)

The instructions were NOT good. So it took forever to put the stools together. The ONE pre-drilled hole for the seat was not centered, there was no pre-drilled holes for the other two screws so you have to apply pressure to make the screws fit. Other than set up I LOVE them! The color matches my dark cabinets perfectly and they've seem to hold up through this weekend :)

These were very easy to assemble, I was able to do both in about 10 minutes. I wish they were a little lower in price since it does require you to have certain tools to fully assemble, but we will probably order a second set soon.

I had bought 29" espresso bar stools exactly like these prior to me buying the 24" ones. Right off the bat, I noticed they weren't the same color! The toddler ones have more of a deep red tone in them & the shorter ones are more brown. Pretty noticeable difference. I wanted them to match. They both said espresso so I assumed. But since I'm not using them right next to each other, it works ok. Another reason I deducted stars is because after just a week, I noticed a chip on the edge of one of the seats, so I guess the finish isn't too dependable. It's like nail polish chipping off your fingernails. They were easy to put together but one of them had no pre-drilled hole one the seat. And I had to use a longer screw under the front of a seat because they pre-drill holes under the fronts & that kind of leaves less to screw into. Very nice-looking chairs. I would buy again! I can live with the flaws & I'm still happy with them. I just wanted to inform everyone of my experience

Received my chairs on time as scheduled. The price was right. At first glance they looked great. Started the assembly and noticed numerous dings and dents in the soft wood Few splintered pieces showing raw wood under the pain. One of the chairs has a shorter leg. Had to glue felt pad to even it out. The crews for attaching the seat to the frame are too short, had to provide my own.

The package arrived late, the directions didn't make sense especially with the obscure pictures. The worst part of this all is that the screws are too short to attach the chair seat to the stool. And there is only one screw to attach the whole seat so the back of the chair seat wiggles around. Complete waste of money if you plan on using the chairs. They would work for staging a home and they are actually very pretty but impractical to use to sit on. Very little thought is put into the actual portion that you use to sit on. Warning; do not buy. Now I have to return something that doesn't even fit in my car to return to the store. Waste of money!

Those stools look perfect on the picture. In reality even though the materials are OK, (no cracked parts made of rotten wood as the table that goes with them in the set) but there are few issues: 1. minor one - it's rather hard to assemble it precisely - if you slide and align the seat to the back seat snugly - then it will extend very differently on the left vs right in front of the stool. If on the other hand you aligh it to be symmetrical on the front (as it should be) - then it will create ugly gap between it and one of the rear bars. I thought that gap would not be a big deal - but it is very noticeable. 2. Major one. Every single surface is not painted/finished form the bottom. On the top bar you can actually see naked engineered wood in spots when it was supported while being spray-painted. On the front in grooves there are rough patches (not polished, looking like tar) 3. Usability: The edges are rather sharp (right non-routed corners everwhere - hurts legs and feet, if you rest them on the lower bars. (where else you are supposed to keep your feet on 24" stool?) 4. Overal - Poor QA. Poor design. What you get is what you pay.
