I recently had a surgical procedure and I was told to use this device a few times every day because of my lack of post-procedure exercise. It is easy to use, requires minimal assembly (just stick the hose in the socket), and use. It hasn't been too much of a chore. My wife said she wanted one, too. (She has a lung condition.) So I got her one at Walmart. This is exactly the same one I got in the hospital, so I think the quality is pretty good.

After having major surgery and exercising I still needed something to help me out a bit. I was skeptical about how cheap this was but after using it for a few weeks, I am still very happy with it and the quality and usefulness of it. Instructions are good, and I appreciated the chart showing averages for age groups. The spirometer itself seems to be your standard sort of thing, and there's nothing much that can go wrong with it nor have I had any issues. Like anything plastic it is best not to drop it. Works well and helps me monitor my condition as well as work on impriving lung function.

I bought this item for mom to help her do breathing exercises to strengthen her lungs. She was recovering from pneumonia. It was helpful.

Needed this for breathing exercises, it is very good for people who need this for their lungs when you have had problems with breathing.

The item arrived broken. We have previously had this same item and it did not work for very long. Tried giving it a second chance and this time the item which is different from the picture arrived and never worked.

The item I received is different from what is in the photo. I plan on returning it.
