Works well for its intended use, restricting respiration. To use it most effectively, you have to create a seal and breath through your mouth, which may be difficult at first. Weight it not ideal, but fine for light running. Overall effective for training.

Easy to clean, and does as advertized. I have a cap on one of my front teeth and it doesnt affect that at all.

I'm a Respiratory Therapist and pulmonary technologist. This device worked perfectly. It is an orificial resistor type inspiratory muscle trainer. Be sure to begin at the lowest setting. You can use this for athletic training and for musicians. It's easy to use and clean. This device is NOT APPROPRIATE FOR COPD, ASTHMA OR OTHER LUNG DISEASE. . For that you need a threshold resistor to avoid increasing air trapping or over pressurizing your lung. I would use with caution in cardiovascular disease for similar reasons. It's perfect for everyone else!

This is a very good and reasonably priced breathing trainer. I use it to increase lung volumes and strengthen my intercostal muscles that have taken a beating after 5 rib surgeries.

Once one has defeated the deSade-designed packaging (you'll likely need scissors, and may endure paper cut-like wounds from the resulting sharp edges), the device works effectively. The fit of the mouthpiece is surprisingly comfortable, and manipulation of the air intake is easily accomplished via simple adjustment of the air intake valve.

Resistance dial setting very loose. Will go from easy/difficult with a bump.
