This fan is amazing! I purchased it to offset my AC unit on extremely hot days and it makes a huge difference. The sound, speed adjustments of the fan and the oscillating option are amazing but the built in remote is a bonus! Highly recommend this fan!!
I bought this fan for a second time, because it works so well! It brings the temperature down in my living room and bedroom. Living in South Texas, we have some nasty humidity to contend with. Having it stationary brings the temperature down real fast. Oscillating it's gonna take a little longer, but the room cools down. Speeds 1-2 are nice and quiet- barely there white noise to white noise. 3-4 you'll definitely hear the fan doing its good work. It sounds like a 90's fan on high, however, if you need it that high you're gonna want to know it's working. So the noise on that high doesn't bother me. If you get overstimulated quickly, speeds 3-4 are not for you. But I barely, ever have to turn it up past speed 2. Get this fan, you'll not be disappointed!
Strong, consistent airflow for a 40" tower fan with smooth oscillation that helps circulate air well across a bedroom or office. The 3 speeds are useful—low is quiet enough for sleeping, while high delivers solid cooling power. Remote is simple but convenient. It's stable during operation and feels well-built, though it's not completely silent on higher settings and won't match the focused power of a traditional blade fan. 👍 Bottom line: A dependable tower fan with strong airflow and easy controls—great for everyday bedroom or office use if you want broad room circulation over pinpoint cooling.
Love this tower fan. I needed more circulation in my bedroom and it is very powerful and cools off the room very well. It has 4 different speeds and oscillates. Very easy to assemble. You have to be careful pulling it out of the box since there's egg cartons on both ends. So you may want someone to help pull the box off while you hold one end of the box.
I have had different towers over the years. Nothing has beat this Vornado tower fan! It is very quiet, blows much farther, and really cools the room. Living in Texas and trying to keep rooms cool during the summer, this one complements air con very well. Very easy to put together. I have one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. Highly recommend!
I really like this oscillating tower fan! It's sleek and slender, so it fits nicely in the room without taking up much space. I especially love the remote control-it's' so convenient to adjust the settings from bed without having to get up. It also runs quietly, which makes it perfect for nighttime use. My only wish is that there was an option to get it in white or ivory, since that would match my bedroom decor even better.
I love how quiet the Vornado is, even on high. The oscillating and timing features are a plus, along with the fan's tall, sleek design, so it doesn't take up too much valuable floor space. I own two and am considering a third, so I don't have to run my AC temp so low here in sunny Florida.
Three areas to improve an otherwise decent product are fan speed, oscillation range, and the magnetic storage for the remote. A higher fan speed would move more air - 100 cfm was barely enough. A 90 degree oscillation range would cover a substantially larger area, such as a garage (I needed two 4Ts for mine). The magnetic storage was weak to the point of being completely useless and really needs to be fixed. Consider a built-in slot for the base on top of the fan. Appearance, noise level, and assembly were above average. Next time, I'll buy fans with more power.
The lighted panel with settings is on the top of this fan. At night, in the dark, you have no idea which way the fan is directed as you attempt to adjust the stationary (vs. oscillating) setting. Additionally, the remote is tiny and easy to misplace or drop. Upside is the power and quietness of this fan.
The best thing about this is that it's quiet, but this fan blows out almost no air. I can't feel any breeze unless I'm standing 2 ft in front of the fan.
