We are elderly and disabled, we do not drive. Our landline phone, our ONLY phone went out. I went on your website and found this phone. I ordered it, paid $10 for express shipping and a $25 tip.. Within 25 minutes of ordering, an hour and a half after finding the phone was broken, I had the new phone hooked up and working. It is not an exaggeration to say this could have been a life threatening situation, thanks to Wal-Mart it wasn't. We love shopping at Wal-Mart, thank you for Express Delivery.
The instructions were a little confusing for me, however my daughter had no problem. Phone is exactly what was described. The dialing numbers are raised, I liked the old phone that had them flat with the surface. Otherwise, it works fine, the speaker phone is very good. I am satisfied this purchase was a good one and worth the price.
This was delivered next day. Set up in 10 minutes including programming the date and time. Is a great value for the price. It does not have a answering machine system which works best for me. I have phone service through cable voicemail is included. Why pay for functionality you're not using. This version makes best sense to me.
The phone was very easy to install! We purchased this for my mother-in-law and aunt, who desired a landline phone. They were able to hear vividly, and it has worked very well. Highly recommended!
First off I gave a general 4 star rating because I previously had red ones just like this and the battery didn't last long and stopped fully charging after a year. Although the phones still worked calls would have to be short because the battery would die after about an hour. A long call on hold you would end up losing. Anyway, I found this as a set of 2 for a great price. The speaker is an added plus for me because it makes volume louder. Easy to program numbers into the phone book and also has a block feature as well. The handsets are lightweight as well. Set up took approximately 10 minutes and everything you need is included. It took me longer to decide where to place them! Haha! It even came with the wall mount. I would completely recommend this item.
it was easy to set up. The volume, sound, and range are great so far. I like that it has an intercom on it. That way, you can speak to someone in another room. The problem I have with it is the price! It's a CORDLESS PHONE! Hardly anyone uses these types of landline phones anymore except for the elderly. This phone should be no more than $19.99! The other problem I have with it is once you program the area code to the numbers that you save in the phone's phone book, when that CALLER calls you, the area code quickly DISAPPEARS! If you don't know the area code by hard, you CAN'T use your caller ID to REDIAL/CALL them back. The ONLY numbers that STAY on the phone's caller ID directly as they show up on the caller ID are the numbers that have the prefixes 1-800/1-888. A lot of older people still like access to LANDLINE phones. Some of them have MEMORY ISSUES and need the CALLER ID to REFERENCE/ACCESS phone numbers. For these TWO reasons, I CAN NOT recommend this phone.
I got this phone set because it matches exactly the phone set we have now. I tried to use just one of the phones for now since one of the handsets we have got wet and stopped working, but it won't sync with the original set. So now I'm no better off than I was before. If there was some way to transfer the phone numbers from one to the other I would just replace the whole thing, but now, to use the new one, I have to manually input every single person and their number into the new phone base. I am NOT happy about that prospect.
Have always been very pleased with these Vtech cordless phones in the past but this latest version is unusable for our purposes. Have a small guest house at edge of property appx 200 feet from main house...previous versions of this phone had (just barely) enough range to work , except in very bad/wet weather. This newest one CLAIMS to have a range "up to" 2300(!) feet, but despite a clear line of sight, with the signal from the main base passing through only a sparse bush and the windows on the respective houses, there's NO communication possible....and on the main handset, even at max volume it's barely audible. Will just put new batteries ion the old phone and use that again I suppose. :(
WORST PHONES EVER!! First off, the light on the display is SO dim, you need a flashlight to see the Caller ID. Second, the battery life is horrific- a full charge will only last about two hours. Then it takes more than the two hours to charge the now dead battery. Basically, each day is a declining cycle of rushing to switch handsets onto the charger as they die in shorter and shorter periods. Hopefully, you only need the phones for occasional calls, not daily intense usage. The voice quality is alright, but not worth the battery life issues.
works okay if not calling a number you have to input another number for instance if you want to have a prescription refilled, having to input a number for an extension. I have used this manufacturers products prior which is why I purchased this product. The backlight on the phone is extremely dim also. Would never buy again.
