nice phone

wildbill256 May 9, 2020

this phone takes a little time, but is easy to set up. depending on how many of the features one wishes to use. I will point out, that from what I have found, the directory is good as a digital phone book, but one thing: you can not speed dial from the directory. speed dial has a seperate number store that can be dialed from, but only 9 numbers speed dial. directory is 50 number store but not able to dial from directory. bottom line: I am very happy with this phone, it works real good for me. also has good answer machine bjuilt in. answer machine easy to set up, and use. great phone.

I really like this phone.

The phone is lightweight and also has a speaker, which I wasn't aware of at time of purchase. I recommend this phone.

FOR THE PRICE I CAN'T COMPLAIN

POTRA June 18, 2013

I also had the static problem but then I remembered the phone filters that come with your internet and plugged them in with the jack and phone, and the static disappeared. The phone meets my needs and for the price I can't complain. I actually went to the store to replace the batteries in my 10 year old AT&T phones. I needed two batteries and each one cost $26.00. I decided forget it. I'm better off buying a new phone with more features and up to date for the price of of one battery. I will update if I have any problems with the phone. Currently, I am not experiencing any problems.

Good replacement for older Vtech phone

ImBubbleee June 3, 2013

This is a good item with many features. relatively easy to use. Some things are a bit touchy to get info. Phone isn't very loud when others talk. Not happy about the new shape, it's not comfortable, especially when on long calls. Phone holds a charge for several days and that is wonderful.

VTech answering system with cordless phone

Dayday December 27, 2016

This was the phone i had been looking for. The price, color and the features that i needed. Good clarity of sound and the perfect size. I would recommend it to everyone.

I haven't had it very long, so can't say if there might be problems down the line (no pun intended), but so far it's working well. It takes a while to figure out the features and I still have not completely done so, but it has what I wanted (caller ID and answering machine while being cordless) for a good price.

So far, so good!

Nedpit March 23, 2013

I've been reading all the horrible reviews about this phone. We've owned cordless phones made by GE, Vtech, and Panasonic over the years and Vtech outshined them all. Their batteries lasted longer, the sound quality was as good if not better, they were lighter, more mobile, and were durable. Moreover, it always seemed that the other brands' pushbuttons tended to stick, lose their connectivity, and just stopped working when the Vtech always hung in there. I would say the same for the CS6629 model. We own three - one is the master unit base while the others are branch unit - and have had no problems what so ever with them since purchasing them five months ago. The sound quality is superb, there is no static or interference, the buttons work like charms, the speakerphone system is plenty loud so you can put the phone down and still converse with your caller, and it's as light as a feather. That said, I do hope they will last as long as our other Vtechs. Only time will tell. In the meantime, we're not shying away from Vtech. I hope that Vtech can resolve the static issues noted in the other reviews. Maybe ours was made on a Tuesday? :-)

The Worst Reception

Ayana89 November 28, 2012

I have had this phone for about 2 weeks and it has had very bad static at random times. If I use this phone 4 times a day, 3 times I will have to deal with the static. It is VERY hard to hear the person on the other end of the phone line. Other than this the voicemail set up and other features are semi-easy to operate. The Battery life is not the best either I AM returing this phone TODAY!
