I used it to cut a rather thick branch (3-4") which was about 21' away from me. Due to its light weight, I was able to reach this branch with the pole saw. I was unable to use a battery powered pole saw because it could not reach that far, and even if it were to reach that far, the heavy weight of a battery powered pole saw becomes unmanageable at much shorter extension of the pole. It took some effort to cut through this branch due to its thickness, but I am very pleased with the ability of this saw. The saw is sharp! The trick I realized is to be slow with the initial cut, let the saw form a groove into the wood, then you can use it vigorously. Had I called some one to do this job, it'd have easily cost me more than the cost of this saw. Now I have this tool that I can use in future also.
A remarkable product. It comes in a small box. You screw in the pieces extremely easily. Then you have the blade in a sleave the fits the box. Two screws attaching the poll to the blade and you are ready to go. If you are slow it might take 5 minutes. The best part is the cutting. The blade not straight like a normal saw and the alternating edges make it cut very fast. Since the poll is so light, you can swing the saw, hit a branch and it may bite and if you saw slowly, you can cut it off. I cut eleven branches off my roof in 15 minutes, some two inches where I cut. I got an estimate for $250. Forget it. Get the saw.
So sharp you might cut yourself looking at it. I have been trimming up my trees, prepping for hurricane season and this tool goes thru the branches with ease.
I bought this because I am a single woman with no experience with a chain saw but I needed to do some tree %26 bush clean up. This worked perfect for me - easy set up, easy to handle and it sure came in handy after the hurricanes for me and my neighbors!
This saw has paid for itself with the first use. The pole is very strong and the saw cuts quickly. Used it for palm, flowering branches.
Only put it together and cut one branch to see how it would go. Seems fine. Think Hubby will enjoy it too.
I love this pole saw. I love that the blade is strong not flimsy. And the blade has the 2 curved edges that it doesn't wable when sawing. That it is so light weight helps me so much with my rheumatoid arthritis. Thank you so much for this great pole saw.
Well, the actual saw works very well. Upon arrival, the adapter pole was missing. Working with the manufacturer to obtain the missing piece to use as a pole saw.
Worth the price. Easy to assemble and use. Wish the blade was a bit thicker and stronger. Recommend if you are looking for a budget item and not going to use too often.
It came with a ding in the blade.
