I used it to cut a rather thick branch (3-4") which was about 21' away from me. Due to its light weight, I was able to reach this branch with the pole saw. I was unable to use a battery powered pole saw because it could not reach that far, and even if it were to reach that far, the heavy weight of a battery powered pole saw becomes unmanageable at much shorter extension of the pole.
It took some effort to cut through this branch due to its thickness, but I am very pleased with the ability of this saw. The saw is sharp! The trick I realized is to be slow with the initial cut, let the saw form a groove into the wood, then you can use it vigorously.
Had I called some one to do this job, it'd have easily cost me more than the cost of this saw. Now I have this tool that I can use in future also.
