My dental hygienist recommended WaterPik, so I thought I would try it. I was scared and apprehensive about it - bought a model with a cordless device, so I could avoid the mess everyone talks about. It has worked out well and I look forward to using it in the shower at night. Mouth feels clean and fresh and it's part of my dental routine. I hope it's working on my plaque!
The amount of water this holds is not enough to get the job done. You will need to pause and refill it midway through flossing. An annoyance that is justified only by the small footprint of this alternative to the large watertank format big brothers. This also doesn't have the same max power as the big boys, but good enough. I am still new enough to using one of these that I'm making a mess and having to clean up the vanity from water still shooting around, even hitting the mirror. It hasn't caused me bleeding, yet, since I'm still training on the low power setting. I would say the quality is good. The switches, power indicator, and waterproof barriers work as they should, and mine even survived a fall from the counter to the tile floor. I hadn't realized that the part that sprays the water onto your gums is a replaceable part so the layout continues in perpetuity as you buy a new head every month or so. Just a couple of bucks, but still, it's something. I will say that in terms of effectiveness, to see the gunk that comes out of your mouth as you powerwash your gums with it, it's astounding.
I had an electric Waterpik for years, the type you plug in. the waterpik had a cord and it was connected to a tank. It worked well for years. I like this one because it is portable, chargeable and there's no tank sitting there on the counter. I wish the water reservoir was bigger some how so it didn't empty out so quickly during use. That's the only drawback for me. I actually find myself flossing 2-4 times a day now! This is a great unit and I highly recommend.
It's my first waterpik. It was easy to set up, charge, and use. You do have to fill it up multiple times during your use. The charge lasts a long time, like two weeks. I just don't like that attachments are plastic because those will eventually wear down and need replacing but that's just how everything is now. I combine traditional string floss with the waterpik, it works great.
I've been really happy with the Waterpik WF-21W010 overall. It's easy to use, lightweight, and does a great job removing debris and making my mouth feel much cleaner than traditional floss alone. The water pressure is strong enough to be effective without being uncomfortable, and it's especially helpful around gums and hard to reach areas. The cordless design is convenient for travel and keeps the bathroom counter less cluttered. Battery life has been solid for my normal daily use, and filling the reservoir is quick and simple. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the water reservoir could be a little larger, since I sometimes need to refill it to fully finish flossing. It can also get a bit messy until you get used to the angle and pressure settings. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking to improve their oral hygiene routine, especially if traditional flossing is difficult or inconsistent.
I am still trying not to hate the thought of having to use my new waterpik. I use it every other day. It is just not like my old waterpik. The two power settings are a challenge. It just takes practice. I worry about how it dries over night and to clean it but I will use vinegar.
I’ve used Waterpic flossers for years. They don’t last forever so I’m used to replacing them every now and then. I looked all over town, including four different Target stores, and everyone is out of all models of the Waterpic brand. The shelves where they are supposed to be are completely bare. Supply problems maybe? Don’t know. Anyway, I ordered one online. I was disappointed to find the power on this unit was half of what it should be, and the water didn’t come out with enough pressure. I even made sure I charged it for a full 24 hours. That didn’t help. It barely put out any pressure. Something was clearly wrong with it. As a result, I returned it to Walmart. The return was easy though.
This has broken already after few weeks of use. First it wouldn’t shut off and now it’s dead and doesn’t work at all. I should not have to completely dead and won’t work. I shouldnt had to buy an extra warranty on this product. I’m not happy at all and amazed it’s broken already! Highly disappointed. I threw my box away thinking I would not need it. I could not recommend this product to anyone!
I have had this product for a few months and it has worked fine. Now it's just dead. It just won't work. Yes, it's charged. That's not the issue. It just won't work. Won't turn on. I bought a no name brand a couple of years ago for half the price at Walmart and it lasted me over a year.. This thing - six months and it's shot. I'll never buy Waterpik again.
This device has plenty of pressure and works okay. However, even with a splash of mouthwash mixed with the water in the reservoir, there was slime and mold that started growing inside the reservoir! if it's growing in the reservoir, i can only imagine what's growing in the internal parts. As much as I wanted this to be a solution to string flossing, it looks like it has to go to the trash ☹️.
