Bought this for husband to use on our sliders (doors). Living at the beach the sliding door tracks are exposed to a lot of weather and he chose this product mainly based on his opinion that WD-40 makes quality products. He is happy with the results and will buy again.
My dryer was squeaking and squealing, Loud. We took it apart and thought we cleaned and lubed (graphite) the idler pulley very well. It still squealed and I thought we'd need to replace the idler pulley or the dryer itself. I didn't want to take it apart again. I removed the bottom panel, reached in and squirted this WD-40 SILICONE spray lubricant on and around the pulley wheel. Quiet as new. And has been for weeks now. Glad I have a large can in case it gets noisy again. I'm sure I'll find other uses for this lubricant. I love that it doesn't gum up like oil based lubes.
It is a speciality item and at times sought to find. Walmart has had it every time I have the need to replace my inventory and curbside makes it even easier. WD makes several products and I use it for sliders as they do get moisture from fog and rain.
I put this on my reclining shower chair and the chairs overt 5 years old and it was still effective before my shower and then I tried again after and it still works just as well. I'm sure I'll find other ways to use it I will keep reapplying it as needed
Worked perfectly on my 1970 Dodge Van leaf springs. At 55 years old she still runs like a champ, and supports a ton of weight on a daily basis. Keeping the spring's lubricated w/ this WD-40 type keeps her quiet when constantly loading, unloading, and driving down bumpy roads. Also works great on hinges, plastic, and where you need longer lasting results WD-40 has long standing product trust for a reason. 10/10
I use this on everything but especially on my home products that are exposed to our Ohio weather that may freeze up during our winters. Garage door track/rollers, chain, and hinges. Use on all my exterior doors on the locks, deadbolt, hinges, and doorknobs. Love the pop-up spray nozzle. Always have this around for anything that squeaks or sticks.
Everyone knows about WD40 and this particular recipe is just another one to add to the shelf. Each one has different applications and this will eventually come in handy. Standard WD40 doesn't fit every situation. I recommend this highly along with the other specialty WD40 products
I used the product to lubricate the grommets for a plastic air filter box. The spade type gromets were difficult to push into place until I used this product. Everything snapped in perfectly after one application. Great Product.
There are many silicone sprays available and they work well. I found that this one does not leave stains. I sometimes use it for lubricating door hinges in my house, but I found that the other silicone sprays would leave stains where this one did not. It's a little more expensive that the others, but it's better than having unsightly stains indoors in the living space.
Silicon spray was recommended to lubricate window balances because, the whole point of using a silicon spray is that it is supposed to dry fast so it does not attract dirt/dust. This WD 40 Silicon spray does not dry, it stays wet and drips everywhere. “Fast Drying” is on the front of the can and in the description on the back of the can, very misleading.
