The fact that I can play my games directly from the new drive, both PS5 and PS4 games, is really nice. Was a quick and simple install and format. Highly recommend.
Took less than 10 minutes to install into the PS5. Has a heat sink built so no thermal throttling. Played several games of it with no issues. As Apple says, “It just works”.
So far so good performance working as its suppose to being doing. Thinking about buying the 2 tb once this one are use full with game. Had this one for about a month.
Came quickly and in great shape. Was easy to install and my PS5 is running more quickly. Wish I had gone for the 4TB. If you're looking to buy this product for you PS5, go for the higher memory! Trust me.
This is a great product for sophisticated storage on your PS5. The site made it easy to navigate and order the right part quickly. Once it arrived it took about five minutes to get the PS5 up and running again with it installed. I highly recommend using this, I also wish I had ordered the 2 TB instead of the 1 TB.

I bought my WD black sn850 2TB beginning of December 2021, keep it storage for a while and yesterday decided to finally take it out and installed in ps5. Installation was smooth and simple, ps5 started format and 1 minute later it went from 13% to 100% showing the message PS5 was not able to format the drive. I try multiple times, removing the ssd, placing it back, with and without heatsink and is all the same. No way PS5 is able to format. Going to test the ssd with a PC tp see if able to work, but right now for a ssd out of the box that is supposed to be ps5 compatible, this is a joke. BTW I look for this error and multiple users had the same problem
