The fact that I can play my games directly from the new drive, both PS5 and PS4 games, is really nice. Was a quick and simple install and format. Highly recommend.
So far so good performance working as its suppose to being doing. Thinking about buying the 2 tb once this one are use full with game. Had this one for about a month.
Came quickly and in great shape. Was easy to install and my PS5 is running more quickly. Wish I had gone for the 4TB. If you're looking to buy this product for you PS5, go for the higher memory! Trust me.
Took less than 10 minutes to install into the PS5. Has a heat sink built so no thermal throttling. Played several games of it with no issues. As Apple says, “It just works”.

This is a great product for sophisticated storage on your PS5. The site made it easy to navigate and order the right part quickly. Once it arrived it took about five minutes to get the PS5 up and running again with it installed. I highly recommend using this, I also wish I had ordered the 2 TB instead of the 1 TB.

Does what it is advertised to do. I'm pleased with this purchase; the value is good and it was easy to install. So far, I have not experienced any issues with it.
As you'd expect since this is a PlayStation-licensed product, it works well with the PS5. The advertised speed is 7000 MB/s, though my PS5 told me that it operated at 6560 MB/s. That's still blazing fast, and I imagine that number might fluctuate up and down. For those reviews that said the PS5 didn't recognize the SSD, they might've been unlucky with static discharge or a manufacturing defect. Either way, it looks like WD is eager to make those issues right, so there should be no concerns about buying this. I also bought this because WD is an American company, and I'm trying to avoid buying electronics like this from overseas manufacturers.
