I started my Weber relationship 50 years ago with the Weber charcoal kettle. Years later progressing to a propane model then to natural gas. When my first weber gas grill died I chose another brand. Bad mistake. I live in a salt water environment and it only lasted two years. When my current Weber grill "died" after many years I decided to go to my current E-325. I use the grill one or two times a week year round. Starts instantly and heats up very quickly. The 325 has the sear burner which really adds an extra dimension. Allows for a quick sear with no risk of overcooking to get the perfect char. Cooks evenly. It was a great choice. My only regret was not going with the stainless grids instead of the standard cast grids which I had in previous models. One note, the construction of this grill is much lighter than previous Webers I have owned. My previous grills were much thicker and I am interested to see how the thinner top will retain heat in the winter months.
This is a great choice in a gas grill. I've always used Weber. Easy to assemble; just take your time. I've been using this one for a few months now and am extremely pleased. Superior design of the cooking grate; not just round bars. Outstanding burners design; definitely want to seer the steaks both sides. Then I cook to medium rare. Just a note: Not serious, but I noticed a high frequency, low amplitude vibration in the gasline. I stopped this by wrapping a length of "Rescue Tape" around the gasline at midpoint and clamped the other end of the tape to the grill panel. See photos. Instant fix. The low amplitude vibration is not damaging; as an engineer, I just wanted to stop it.
The grill has been great. It does cook faster than my old grill, but I'm adjusting to that. I love the sear zone!! It's simple to use and has been pretty easy to keep clean especially when utilizing the grate cleaner. So far, I'm very pleased with it!
Love the grill. went together fairly easily. Used their Bilt app.which was fine. I did have a problem with the igniter. After assembled I had trouble lighting the grill. Had to take the front face off to get to the igniter wires. Evidently there wasn't a good connection on the plug in wire connectors. Seems to work ok now. Hopefully !
I am very pleased with this purchase. There is more grilling space than my previous Weber grill. I get a much hotter temperature and it is evenly spaced across the surface. With the Weber name, I know I am getting good quality and good service if there ever is an issue.
I've been buying Weber grills for the last 35 years..Although happy with the latest Weber grill purchased a little disappointing in less than six months from purchased the outside metal cover on the side started 0paint enamel started peel off..I own two Weber the big Summit on my downstairs patio and this one purchased I'd the Genesis three burner with searing on my deck.. The Genesis purchased seems to be much lighter cheaper made the my original Genesis special edition one I gave to a good friend..
Only one complaint … The propane tank is situated that its removal for refilling is too awkward and too heavy. Wish I were younger and stronger.
We love the size and usability of the Genesis for our family. We did save the 50-50 grate grills from our old one which is what we use (one) together with the 50% size griddle. I dont know why Weber switched from 50-50 to 30-70 which does not give space for a family size griddle.
I love the BBQ functionality. The searing area cooks meat better than I've ever cooked it. My meals have improved so much with this grill. The food cooks fast and evenly, and the cleanup is fast. 5 stars for the functionality. I knocked 2 stars because of the horrible cheap plastic knobs. Nothing says cheap, like a wobbly, weak feeling knob that could have been 3D printed by a 10 year old and spraypainted. I hate them, and it ruined the entire look of the grill. The last generation of Weber gills had great knobs that made you feel like a commander when you twisted them. That's what I'm expecting. In fact, I researched and realized the previous generation knobs were compatible with my grill so I spent $70 to fix the big problem with this grill. Now I'm proud of it and love it. The other thing I don't like is the silver side trays. They collect dirt easily and reflect the daytime sun so it is blinding. I think I need to find a placemat to cover them up.
Its a quality grill with quality parts. But why would a grill come with partial open sides? If want bees, birds and other creatures to get inside get this grill. With the open sides you see the wiring and parts etc. and they will get damaged over time. I wish I knew this issue before my purchase.
