Love the grill, Starts super easy first crack every time. very well built small grill a lot of grill makers think small = low quality, very nice grates that are easy to clean and cook very nicely I like having a temp gauge and the two burners is all I need so this really fit the bill for me. I bought a cover and expect to get 15 years out of this quality grill
I have gotten tired of buying a "disposable" grill every couple of years. The first year, they would perform ok. The following year, you start having to replace burners, heat shields, ignitors, etc until the disposable grill has turned into a money pit that continues to flame up and burn food. Well, I was tired of "disposables". After reading up and doing my homework for over a week, I decided on this grill. I have always been a "champagne on a beer budget" type of guy, but not anymore. We needed a new grill and after receiving a bonus at work, I decided to spend it on the family and get something that we could all enjoy. This model of Weber has only been out for a little over a month, but features a 10 year warranty on most of it's components. I also found it on rollback so that even sweetened the deal. Needless to say, I bought it in the box and brought it home with me. The grill was very well packaged and I assembled it in my living room with only a wrench, phillips screwdriver, and a pair of pliers. I used the manual to assemble it but it does have an app you can download for your phone that is in 3D to help you, if needed. It took about 30 minutes to remove and lay out all the parts and another 1.5 hours to assemble and have it up and running. The assembly was easy and I just took my time and drank my coffee while in the process. After assembly, it was lit an allowed to burn off for about 20 minutes to get the coating and smell off all the components. I can tell you that even though it is a 2 burner grill, the temp was up to 600* in about 10 minutes. The cooking grid is unusually large and strongly built for a smaller model grill. It easily has enough room to cook for 4 people without a problem. My son wanted to do the honors of buying New York Strips and cooking them himself. He followed the instructions and cooked them for 5-6 minutes on each side at 500*. He never had a problem with any flare ups. I have to say, they were probably the juiciest steaks I have ever tasted. The following day, he did hamburgers. He did have minor flare ups with them, but not a fire like we experienced with our past grills. The flavor bars did their job as described. Today, he did pork tenderloin and again, it was perfect. All I can add is just that the grill is well built and I expect it to last for many years. Spend a little extra money and have something you can be proud of for many years down the road.
We decided to invest in a Weber; we're both delighted we did. A well thought out design, superior materials and built to last. Our only regret is we didn't buy a Weber years ago. We tired of buying imported grills, cheaper because they're poorly made from inferior materials.
While I love my grill, I love the support and warranty from Weber even more. I've had somewhere in tear issues on my grill through the years and every time I've had an issue I've reached out to Weber and then given me no hassles it just taken care of the problem. It's been fantastic.
The grill came fully assembled and was easy to transport. IT'S my second weber spirit and it lasted a long time. I use it in all the seasons and I keep it covered and locked on my deck. The grill cooks great and is easy to clean. It's built to last a long time. I'm very satisfied with it. Weber makes good products.
Assembly took about 2 hrs and there was a LOT of packing cardboard to dispose of. Opted for a brand new propane tank to avoid any leak/valve issues. Grill looks and performs great, have used it for steaks/burgers and chicken. It is just the perfect size for us (retired couple).
I really liked the grill while it worked but a part needed to be replaced and it was literally impossible to change out the gauge that needed replacement. Now I have to buy a new grill when this one is still in great condition except of course it doesn't work.
We wanted a weber grill but this grill has been a nightmare. One month later and it's still not functional. multiple parts broken on arrival, requiring replacement. Main manifold welded wrong so the final part doesn't fit. I would look at other grills.
China is all I can say at this point! Wheel caps won't stay on ever! Frame was mis-made in the factory and boxed like new and sold to me like new in a box. Had to call and wait 2 days for a whole end frame to come in the mail.
Wheels keep falling off. Grill quality has defiantly fallen off since the last time I bought a Weber 10 years ago. The knobs are super cheap feeling , the lid is lighter , not real pleased considering the cost. Might explore other options next time
