Weber Traveler Portable Propane Gas Grill, Black

The blue Traveler works like other Weber BBQs--its excellent. On our recent camping trip to the Oregon coast in our Airstream trailer, the blue Traveler is also the best-looking portable BBQ made. Be sure to purchase the cargo cover with it to keep your vehicle clean.

I moved from a condo with a large ground patio to one with a smaller elevated deck. I decided my weber spirit was too large and lugging a large propane bottle onto the deck would be too much work, so I shopped around and decided on the traveler. It is perfect for my needs. I was concerned about having only one burner, but everything I have cooked on it (steaks, pork chops, pork loin, ham steak) has come out well (use an accurate meat thermometer).

The grill of my dreams - easy to move around, store, clean. And it uses the small convenient propane canisters. Sturdy heavy-duty grills, simple but functional burner, easy to reach & clean drip pan and interior. Only drawback with my unit is that the red tab that keeps it locked down & in place for storage will NOT self-release for easy opening. I have to reach over and adjust the tab to release it. But after that, it's a dream to set up and close down. Great if you have to store it inside for a hurricane emergency. (But only for use outside after the storm.)

Great BBQ. I have owned my other Weber for 25 years and felt we were ready for. New one. It was no brainer to get another Weber. We love the probability of the traveler. Easy to put away for the with. Also purchased two types of covers for it. Both fit perfectly. Just love it

This little titan is amazing from the time I brought it home. Easy to set up. Easy to put away. With one step and pull, it can be set up quickly to barbque a full tray of chicken or burgers. I love that it easily wheels onto our deck or can be tucked away in the garage out of the weather. I didn't need the cover due to this fact. I will come back in a year to update if there are any issues, but so far we are able to use a 1-20 propane adapter for use with a larger propane tank too! Great product Weber!! Worth every penny.

Love this little bbq with big cooking area. It's an apartment dwellers dream. Folds up nicely and looks great. The low cover means it heats up quickly and hits 600 degrees pretty fast. I've only used it a couple of times but I can see it's going to get lots of use.

This is a very well designed barbecue. It is attractive, but most of all it really cooks well. Despite having only one burner control, I think the cooking grates make the difference. It cooks as evenly as my 3-burner Weber. This barbecue is easy to transport and opens and closes easily. My only negative critique is that the 1lb propane canister is somewhat difficult to thread on to the regulator underneath the barbecue. I mastered the technique by getting on one knee and threading it that way. Not a big issue. With the canister in place, the barbecue cannot be folded down which is a good safety measure. An optional propane hose can be purchased so it can be used with your typical 20lb or larger propane tank. When folded up the grill stores upright in the smallest of footprints. All in all, I highly recommend this grill whether you use it on-the-go or as your main barbecue. You're gonna love it!

Easy to collapse and set up if we choose to take it to the beach or a tailgate. Gets up to temperature fast, cooks evenly, and the tool hooks are a nice touch. Clean up with traditional tools is a bit more tedious due to the grate design, but a wet rag when the grill is hot seems to steam clean it quickly. I wish Weber would drop the wire brush tools and come out with a cleaning sponge set up. Much better, and no chance of wires getting left on the grill.

The built-in gas regulator is this grill's design flaw. Be prepared to replace it ($75) within a year or 2. This part can also be hard to get. If you already own 1 consider removing the regulator. There's lots of help on youtube from frustrated Traveler owners like myself.
