Sturdy, well built, easy to assemble

Doug November 7, 2016

Many reviews that I read before I purchased this said that two people to assemble but I had no problem doing it by myself. The instructions were easy unlike another review I saw which said they were terrible. The only problem we see is that there's no adjustment for the arm length of the person using it. My wife has trouble because it's large but fits me fine.

All smiles and muscles!!

motherof6 January 8, 2017

Got this pull up tower for my 15yr old son for Christmas. He loved it and so does every one else. Fills sturdy when my 17 and 15 year old sons do pull ups and when I do knee up on the other side. Seems like a jungle gym in the house, very motivational for me because I know I need to work out and seeing my boys exercise just makes me want to join in on the fun. Did my research and was the best deal ever. Heads up never tighten screws until structure is completed.

great item. POOR instructions.

JonathanFromBrooklyn September 26, 2016

I ordered this item to use in my personal training studio. physically, the item works well and feels pretty solid- no complaints on that end. I was able to set it up by myself in about 60 mins. On another note- the instructions were pretty poor. I decided to take tools from my house after looking the instructions over- they suggest to use two open end wrenches. I did this and when I got to tightening the bolts and nuts, it would have taken me at least 2 additional hours to tighten all of them with the open end wrenches. I had to go all the way home, get a socket set and tighten them in a matter of minutes. USE A SOCKET SET to tighten once all complete- not wrenches!!!

Welder Power Tower

Jodoz December 4, 2016

Came with all the parts. Fairly easy to put together. I did it by myself. Very sturdy, doesn't wobble. So far so good. Only been using for a few days.

awesome workout station

brdsawy February 5, 2014

Had one before that my daughter took. Used it for 5 years. If you're dedicated and not into free weights, this is perfect. Would be nice if there were a lower bar for sit ups.

Shipping good, website not so good.

nononsenseshopper December 29, 2016

Order said the item would be delivered on 12/20. Checked online again on 12/22 and it still said 'processing' so I hit 'cancel' and went to another store and bought a similar item for my grandson's Christmas gift since this item was not in stock in either store. The item was delivered to my home on 12/23 and the website still said 'processing'. I returned the similar item to the other store. Today I received an email saying the item has shipped and will be arriving on 12/30. I clicked on tracking and it says it has been delivered, which is true. So your left hand doesn't know what your right hand is doing . The product did arrive, just 3 days late and in time for Christmas. So I'm satisfied with the shipping but very unhappy with the communications. The product itself is excellent.

Strong and well made

Jimbo November 26, 2016

It is strong and well made. It was easy to put together. The only thing I would say negative is that it felt like it was going to tip over when I would do pull-ups. It never did tip over but it didn't feel rock solid. I put my Bowflex adjustable dumbbells (about 52.5 lbs. for each one) on the legs when I did pull-ups and it was rock solid then. It is a good buy for the price.

You get what you pay for

HJMisquez May 24, 2016

I received this item. It was pretty simple to put together if you don't tighten any bolts until you've fully put it together. It is wobbly. Very wobbly. But that may just be mine. I'm not sure if one or multiple bars were straight. But, you get what you pay for. Other than that, it's strong and can hold my man's weight. He's a lean 315 lbs. Other bars would tip when he used them but this one doesn't. It may become more stable with use but right now, it's wobbly.

Decent quality for the price, assembly is awful

druskish February 8, 2017

I paid $105 for the Weider Power Tower. I paid extra for next day shipping, but it arrived 3 days late. Next, when I opened the box, the hardware packet was open with screws and nuts loose throughout...2 of which could never be found. I've never assembled anything with more screws - assembly is no small effort. Even with the 2 missing pieces, I was able to get it assembled in about 90 minutes from the time I started unpacking. Overall, the quality of the materials is good. Stability, I would give 4 out of 5. It would have to be considerably heavier to achieve better stability than it has, so I am pleased with the trade-off of weight vs stability. It's a good piece of equipment, and I would probably give it 4 stars overall if I hadn't had the assembly struggles.

The overall product is great.

spiderman May 20, 2016

The overall product and sturdiness is great. The main problem I had or have with this item, is it looked like the shipping carrier drug the item behind their truck instead of in it. The box was all tore up and holes all over. The pieces were wrapped in the box, but the bolts, nuts and washers were scattered all over the box. Of course with all the holes and tears in the box, I was missing 6 washers, two bolts, 4 locknuts, and one plastic end piece. Thanks shipping carrier.
