I love the dimensions of the bread container. Paddles stop almost perpendicular to the length so more slices don't have the hole in them. I've only made sandwich bread with it. I used my recipe. It's so great to have loafs the size of regular sandwich bread.
Great bread maker but I do wish it had suction cup or something on the bottom so it wouldn't move. Mine ended up falling off the counter and broke… No more delicious fresh bread in the morning :( I miss The warm bakery smell in the kitchen! Otherwise it works really well and I loved the real loaf shape, the delay start, and the double paddle.
This is the second time I have bought the West Bend Hi-Rise. I have owned Breadman (trash) Sunbeam (decent) and a Wolfgang Puck (absolute trash) bread makers! The Weather Bend is the G O.A.T when it comes to a home bread machine! don't be fooled by prettier flashier bread makers if you want a workhorse you want bread PERFECT every single time ... you want the West Bend Hi-Rise! Take it from the one use used a killed one from over use, then gave a Breadman bread maker away because it was beautiful but trash! Used and killed a Sunbeam bought a Wolfgang puck and took it back to the store and bought the workhorse again!!! You can not beat this bread maker!! I have tried!
Great machine. Easy to use. Two paddles and the horizontal loaf are two great features. Makes bread making simple.
not alot of recipies but if you know how to use this machine you can adapt your own recipies to use in it
Just learning how to use it. Different than my other ones. Going to like it a lot. Bought it mainly for the “real” loaf shape. Easy cleanup
I got the West Bend Bread Maker as a birthday present. I'm so happy I got it. I've had 3 bread makers prior to this one . I had one considered highend. It didn't perform as a highend. I've made several recipes in my new West Bend. The recipes were ones that came with the machine. The recipes turned out great, and the machine performed beautifully. I didn't have any issues with the machine. I'm happy to have a machine that I can make a real loaf of sandwhich bread. If you are looking for a bread machine, i highy:
this is the first product I've bought that does not come with a instruction manual, therefore I had to go online and find instructions.
There were no instructions for using the West Bend bread maker. i could not even remove the ingredient pan to wash it so it could be used. This is the 2nd one I ordered and returned within a month. The 1st one had a booklet but instructions resembled something a 4th or 5th grader wrote, made no sense. I have owned 3 previous makers before these and they each had instructions and recipes, each machine works differently. The 2nd one was returned to Walmart yesterday. I am debating ordering a 3rd one from Walmart or looking further. I want a machine now not next year. My last one that I owned just plain and simple wore out. I love homemade bread, plain and simple!
Machine works well, but lasted 3 months, or about 25 uses. Looks like the heating element is bad, seems like the quality is extremely poor. And customer service is awful, they do everything in the arsenal not to take care of the issue. Still trying, and entering our 4th week of that process. Beware, I ignored other reviews, and this company is the worse one I have ever dealt with, in the past 40 years!!
