The WD portable hard drive is the perfect size for a pocket backup hard drive. I have two grandkids and I take a lot of pictures of them at their after school events. I was storing the pictures on an older desktop, but the windows 10 upgrade crashed the machine and it comes on but won't boot up. So this backup solution is just perfect, used in connection with DVD storage and I'm good to go with pictures the inlaws the holidays or any other time.

Got this as a black friday deal for $69. I use it for just pics and videos of my newborn daughter. Plenty of space

I am using this external hard drive as an extension to my Xbox one memory and it works great if you have an Xbox on buy one of these

I haven't filled it up yet, but that will take a while. Operation is almost completely silent -- unless I look for the light, I can't tell if it's on. It's small enough to shove into a pocket and take with me to a meeting with a client, or place out of sight behind my PC. Response is very fast. I started keeping my working files on an external drive in 2006 when my PC got a nasty trojan. I got the trojan warning from a client just two days before, and acted on it immediately. Didn't lose a single file. I won't be without an external drive ever again -- it saved my business -- and the Western Digital drives are among the best. You won't regret this purchase.

Nice HD, have 5ea, Price is Good, Shipping a bit Slow, not real sure as to why WD put the Drv Indicator on the Back or why they didn't include indents so they could be stacked, a bit slow on waking up but all in all a good hd

I bought a couple of these and they lasted through a deployment to Afghanistan. Both are still just a quick and reliable as they were over a year ago when I purchased them.

This HD crashed on me after having it for 1 month and I lost all things on it. Lucky for me when I back things up I do it on another external drive. WD are not as reliable as they use to be in the past!
