Westinghouse 12,500 Peak Watt Dual Fuel Portable Generator, Electric Start, Transfer Switch Ready

Generator will be a welcomed addition to the survival of Florida hurricanes and power outages. I wanted something to handle the entire house and this certainly does the trick. I like the dual fuel option for when gas is not available. Propane burns cleaner and is easier ti find usually. This generator is loud, so try to find a location that will be best for you and your neighbors to sleep during operation. I tied this into my electrical panel so it will provide power to most everything in the home, most importantly the A/C unit and some ceiling fans.

I bought this after Hurricane Beryl rolled through the Houston area and my old off-brand generator kept giving me trouble even though I had maintained it. Planning to run this one only on propane unless I absolutely have to use gasoline. The shipping pallet served as a useful stand when mounting the wheels and support legs. Fired right up when hooked to a propane tank. I feel much more confident this will be ready and able the next time I need a generator (which seems to be getting more often). Be aware this uses freight shipping for delivery; it came on an 18 wheeler. I ended up tipping the driver for backing up a quarter mile as there was no good way to turn around at my end of the road, and helped get it down my drive and to my deck as well.

I have hired an electrician to install an invert box that connects to the main electrical panel to transfer the power from the generator to my house. We tested and saw my 5-ton AC, freezer, refrigerator, TV, all lights turned on immediately. The generator is solid build and powerful enough for the whole house. I'm satisfied with the purchase.

Good quality and price, wish it was made in the USA... havent used it yet, installing a outlet to hook up outside to run the entire house.

I'm using this as a full-house emergency generator for my 1800 sq ft pacific northwest home. It was easy to setup and started on the first try. I'm powering it with propane. I ran it for 5 hours to break the engine in, then changed the oil and now I'm better prepared for the outages that are likely to happen this winter.

this was delivered by a LTL carrier in which should have been delivered in a box truck or a van instead it was left by the side of the road where anyone could have gotten it . there should be a place for directions for delivery. try to buy from in store and pick it up yourself . Not LTL carriers's fault the fault is in there was no place for instructions on delivery. They said delivery was going to be friday and it showed up on Tuesday. If my boss hadn't let me go home someone would have taken it.

I intend to use the Westinghouse WGen95000DF generator to furnish electrical power when the normal electrical supply is interrupted. Although I have yet to put it to the test, everything appears to be satisfactory with the product. However, the delivery was sloppy...it was promised for a Friday, yet a delivery attempt was made on a Wednesday without informing me and I wasn't available. The Friday delivery wasn't made because according to the shipping company (Pitt Ohio) they did not have a driver available. Delivery was finally made the following Friday, a week late. I realize Walmart has no control over shippers but I will not order from again because of this issue.

TERRIBLE! Worst customer service ever! Don't buy anything from Westinghouse as they give zero support, are rude and difficult to even reach. I wish I never bought anything from this company as in my opinion they make inferior products to their competitors like Champion, Duromax, Generac, Predator, Honda, Pulsar, WEN and Ryobe. In my opinion these are all superior product brands than Westinghouse. In my opinion and experience, I find their products are poorly built, overly complicated to work, and several items I've bought from them have broken down prematurely. I'll never buy anything from Westinghouse again! I learned that lesson the hard way, especially with this overpriced generator and their awful support. Save yourself the headache and money and go with another brand! I wish I had!

Do Not Buy From This Seller If You Don’t Live on a Wide Road The generator looked great on paper — solid features, good appearance, and exactly what we thought we needed. Unfortunately, we never even got to see it in person. After placing the order, we were told only afterward that if you live on a street with low‑hanging trees or wires, they cannot deliver to your home. Their “solution” was to leave a generator worth over $1,000 on the street, completely unsecured, and if it was stolen, they would not be responsible. That alone was unacceptable. We immediately called and asked them to stop the delivery. We were told it was “too late” because it had already shipped. Then they asked if we could pick it up. We are disabled seniors — picking up a heavy generator is not an option. We were assured our money would be refunded. Instead, we received a message saying the generator had been delivered and signed for. When we checked the tracking information, we discovered it had been delivered three hours away from our home, yet marked as if it had been delivered to us. Thankfully, Walmart stepped in, showed real concern for their customers, and told us they would refund our money and handle the issue with the seller. My advice: do not buy from this seller if you don’t live on a wide, easily accessible road. The risk, the lack of communication, and the misleading delivery information are simply not worth it.

I ordered this Westinghouse generator along with a couple smaller items .. the 2smaller items came., however I’ve never received my 1,000$ generator yet! Nobody from walmart nor this company has made an effort to contact me!! So beware of fraudulent purchases. So far not one contact, ordered the 4th of July 2024. Now 14th of July)
