Works great, installed in my garage and in 15mins I can go and chill in my gameroom garage. I love the remote it's nice and simple to use, has all the functions that the A C itself has. Only leave a 1/2 inch of your sleeve sticking out if you want the moulding it came with to be flush to the wall.
My wall a/c it is working very well I recommend to everyone who need to have a great temperature on summer so good job.
My apartment stays cool now.
Lovely a/c ! Whisper quiet %26 was easily installed into an existing wall sleeve. Just one disappointment .... The remote control was missing. But I am sure it will be sent to me once I inform the merchant.....
At this moment, I am unable to recommend purchasing this item from Walmart. My son came to help me with the installation and we discovered upon opening the box that the unit is badly damaged. It is obvious that someone dropped the box on one of its corners. Due to disability, I need to reach out to Walmart by email. Their customer service email address appears to be non-existent and/or kept a secret by Walmart.
The AC unit failed almost exactly 2 months later. Maybe I missed the fine print that said “good for one-ish summer only”.
Failed during second season. Do not recommend! Paid $500 for 1-1/2 seasons of cooling. (In the industry, this type of product is expected to last at least EIGHT YEARS. I've had some over ten years and still working.) Because it was beyond the one-year warranty, Whirlpool said there was nothing they could do, "thank you". I tried to talk to a manager but got bounced around their convoluted phone-mail system; wasted an hour, finally to hear a recording that I could request a call-back for THURSDAY OF THE FOLLOWING WEEK!! (I am not making this up, though at the time it did seem like a joke.) Terrible service, terrible product. It is imported by XLS, from China. Apparently, Whirlpool, a once-great appliance brand, doesn't know how to make an air conditioner anymore. It really deserves ZERO stars, but the review doesn't allow it. So, let's give a star to the XLS engineers, who were smart enough to design something that failed *just after* the warranty period.
