Use this all the time to listen to Weather, Rescue and Police bands. Also can pick up Aviation. Great to listen to the 2 meter band at 144-148 Mhz Amateur band.

This new WS1010 is only the third one in over fifteen years. I am amazed that Whistler still makes it. I dropped %232 a week ago. That ruined it. The new one actually is better than %232. I use it only for air traffic control. It's a great receiver and I am happy Walmart had it available. And it was almost $10.00 less than %232. And the next day delivery, outstanding. Mahalo.

I like the 3 power options battery,ac,DC. Easy instructions for programing frequencies. I had high hopes of receiving police channels from far away. That didn't happen! Local police only. You would need a large outdoor antenna for that reception.

Not good
Advertised as "new", definitely not. Arrived in a plain cardboard box stuffed with brown paper from "Fatcat" No Factory box no instructions or where to obtain them. In fact no information at all. Not even a bill of sale. Only wrapped in plastic bag, as were the antenna and power supply. Deep gouge across face plate. Signs of wear on the case. Will be returning to Walmart.

ridiculous and unfair.
no one deserves to go through what I did for this purchase. absolutely no one. Manager saying that I didn't get my purchase because I didn't leave a tip to a uber delivery driver and when I received it late, it was full of scratches as if it had been a return and now Its been over a week since I have returned it to store and it still shows that I have not returned it. absolutely stressful beyond words and I feel like I have been scammed.

Its USED. not new
Listed as new. Its NOT. No box no manual. Dirt on volume control. Scratches on case and led cover. Came just wrapped in brown paper in a shipping box. Cant tell if its even working properly.
