Midland WR120B NOAA Weather Alert Radio

The radio is very easy to setup for your area. Fortunately, we haven't had any severe storms since we got it. So, I can't really say how well it works. But, it can be set for notifications for your specific area %26 the volume is adjustable so it can be heard at night.

I really enjoy this item because I think peace of mind whenever thorns are coming across to us where I live in tornado. Alley in oklahoma so it helps keep me informed of whenever a tornado is coming into my area.

I received this item at 3:00 pm on 4/25. I followed the instructions, and it took me 15 minutes to set up. At 6:00 pm that same day, we had a thunderstorm warning. Fifteen minutes later, we had a tornado warning. Everyone in our community is ok, but this little machine is great! It did what it is supposed to do--alert you to weather emergencies. This machine was easy to set up, as long as you follow the directions within the booklet. You can't be without one of these machines. It may save the life of you and your family. Highly recommend!!

This radio is AWESOME. We gave the one we had to my nephew and went and bought a new one. This truly is a great product. You WILL hear it when it alerts to any warnings or watches no matter where you have it in your house. Locate it centrally. You do not want to put it on your night stand for sure! Thanks Midland

This is a very complete warning device...maybe TOO complete. It will warn me about tsunamis in Ohio...OHIO? I'm very impressed with it. But be prepared - it took me 3 days to program it, and I still get alerted at 3am for volcano warnings. You can get a full nights sleep with this radio, and not be alarmed about lava flows, etc.

I purchased this based on my daughter's recommendation. For the price it seems good, although NOAA has not sent out any alerts here in West Central Montana yet since I have had it. I have received a test alert though. I like the one button push to get the NOAA forecast every evening. The alert siren is plenty loud.

Item arrived and followed set up steps provided. We think we have i done it correctly and believe it attempted to alert but scrolled message unable to connect or out of range. We were not home so unsure of sound. Moved to another room so it sure if it will alert or not. Thankfully no severe weather to test it out.

This item only gets power when its plugged into a power outlet. It apparently is not charging it internal battery and does not work when 3 new AA batteries are installed in it( doesn't evern get any power). I am totally dissatisfied with this item and wish to return it for a refund.

Nothing but static which previous one we bought did same thing, with exception the previous worked for 3 days before stopped working. These were bought to replace a Midland we had for years that worked until it stopped working. Going to buy a non-Midland brand and have one in mind after talking with friends and relatives that ended up having to do the same thing after their new Midland’s were also defective. Buyer beware!!

I have replaced this 3 different times. It’s trash and either doesn’t work or when it does, it never shuts off.
