it's very good at a loud alarm for local flood, tornadoes and sever storms. Blue backlight can be switched on and off. set up is confusing and takes time. you have to practice. once it's set up it's done. if you take camping, you'll probably have to reset location.

I really enjoy this item because I think peace of mind whenever thorns are coming across to us where I live in tornado. Alley in oklahoma so it helps keep me informed of whenever a tornado is coming into my area.

The radio is very easy to setup for your area. Fortunately, we haven't had any severe storms since we got it. So, I can't really say how well it works. But, it can be set for notifications for your specific area %26 the volume is adjustable so it can be heard at night.

It's simple to use and works great. The manual is just a few pages and set up takes minutes. Set it and forget it. Low tech, works without cell or wifi connection or even wall power! Should be a required purchase for anyone that lives in a rural area. I'm picking up more for friends and family.

S.A.M.E. feature allows for weather alerts and warnings for just your area and/or inclusive of surrounding areas. Great sound and volume. Highly recommend!

I feel safer during the tornado season with the alerts I receive from my radio. Very customizable for the types of alerts and locations. I purchased one several years ago and this purchase was for a family member. Definitely recommend.

very good! makes me feel a lot safer having this around, what with all the tornadoes we have been having. best to be prepared, as much as possible anyway.

I bought this and it always was searching for channels like I lived in a remote place I live close to a major city and live in a small city. And it kept beeping like there was an emergency but there wasn't , it was a beautiful day. I definitely would not recommend

I have replaced this 3 different times. It’s trash and either doesn’t work or when it does, it never shuts off.

This item only gets power when its plugged into a power outlet. It apparently is not charging it internal battery and does not work when 3 new AA batteries are installed in it( doesn't evern get any power). I am totally dissatisfied with this item and wish to return it for a refund.
