White, Zinsser Drywall Primer-1501, 1 gal

FIRST: all the negative reviews that say its too thin and doesn't cover. They have no business painting much less than leaving a reviews for something they do not understand. This product is a PRIMER SEALER, it is not paint in the conventional sense. it is made to seal the pores on conventional drywall and joint compound. It is purposely made thin to spread, penetrate and seal. it does a fantastic job at accomplishing the task.I highly recommend it. Generally people will leave a negative review simply because of not understanding a product or sheer ignorance.

After repairing a 6" hole in my drywall, I used the primer, because there was a lot of drywall dust that I couldn't clean off, entirely, and, though I, normally, would use a primer-paint overcoat, I felt that the dust would affect the finish, so, I opted for this primer. It went on a little thicker than regular paint, but, I was surprised at the smoothness of the finish. I did the entire section of the wall, from floor to ceiling (about 7' high and 4' wide), and could not see any drywall seems or nails or tape. One coat, probably, would have been more than adequate, but, I opted to put a second coat on. I have not put the regular paint on it, yet, because I still haven't decided how I want to paint the room, but, I have no doubt that it will work just fine with this primer.

Excellent quality, performance and greater price. Great coverage. I would buy again.

This was a good primer. I really like this brand in particular.

its bright white. if spiled easy clean up

I used three times as much of this primer than I expected. It seemed thinner than the other brand. It didn't have bad smell though. I wasn't impressed.

When we picked up the paint. It was put in the back of my car. The paint can was dented and it looked like it had been open as there was paint on the side of the can. We decided to keep it because it was just ceiling paint.

package was leaking when driver got here. he canceled my order and said they would send me another one. im still wating
