Best thing to have when icing a cake! It works better if you have a turntable, because. as the turntable spin, you can smooth the cake at the same time!

I had ordered this in hopes it would arrive before I made the cake for my sons birthday but it arrived the day after. So I decided to test this on brownies, since we just had cake. I really like how easy it is to spread the icing. And it was very easy to clean. I can't wait until the next cake I make. This is going to make my life so much easier and my hands less messy! Definitely recommended.

With some practice, I think this will really result in smooth icing. For a first try it was an improvement from using a butter knife. My daughter would like to learn to decorate cakes and starting with a smooth base is important. If you are already skilled, this tool would definitely give you perfectly smooth icing. It is quality made with a comfortable grip. We used regular cake icing to try it out, but Wilton icing would probably smooth even easier. The more we worked with it the more air bubbles we put into our icing, so with more practice it would take less work for a smoother result I'm sure.

This was my first time attempting and successfully making a layered cake. The tool was very helpful in spreading between the layers as well as the outside. Only have the one photo, wish had an after photo, the cake turned out awesome!

I'm not a pro at baking and icing cakes. I just wanted to try myself at it for my kid's birthday. I like the quality of this product, it's pretty sturdy. I just iced a small cake and it was easy with this tool. I wish it didn't have round edges for a cleaner look at the bottom, but I just added frosting flowers all the way around.

Well I tried to work with this icing smoother but it was kinda hard to actually make the cake icing flat which because the part in The middle is just in the way. I believe if I had a cake turntable it would work but for me is a fail but the cake was good.
