Wilton Round Decorating Turntable for Cake Decorating, Plastic, 12 inch

Desserts are my favorite thing to make but I don't do cakes very often. It was just too hard to ice them. All thr turntables were too high up I was afraid my whole cake was going to crash down. The low ones didnt work as well as the cakes were too heavy and they wouldn't turn. I didn't have these issues with this one though. Even with a two layer cake it turned freely and didn't rub I was surprised. Not sure how much more it could hold. It works wells and stores in small spaces and could double as a lazy Susan for your spices while not in use.

I love that it's compact, lightweight, and the top and bottom are both non-slip. It also includes a very easy to use lever that stops the top from turning when needed. Overall this is a wonderful product that I would definitely recommend to others.

I used the Wilton High and Low Turntable to frost a vanilla cake with espresso buttercream. This turntable made a significant difference in frosting a cake compared to not using one, and it also made for easier cleanup. The grips in the middle securely held onto the cake board so that the cake wouldn't slip while frosting, and the spinning mechanism is smooth enough to keep working with enough resistance so that you can work on details while moving quickly. I think this is an excellent product. I highly recommend it.

Has retractable legs so you can use it as a stand or plate. Lever slides in place if you want to present, or unlocks to spin. Easy to clean. I absolutely love it!!

I used the Wilton turntable to decorate a round layered cake. This made spreading the icing and filling a lot easier since I could hold my spatula in place and just spin the cake. The turntable easily held my 10 inch cake and was sturdy. I do like that the legs fold for storage. The lock feature was nice when I was piping on a decoration so that I did accidentally bump the turntable and make it spin unnecessarily.

This is as close to a metal turntable as you'll get! It's the right size, the foldable feet make it easy for whatever cake you're working with. And the gripping covering on the feet make it stat in place with whatever cake you're decorating. Lightweight, easy to clean, portable.

I really liked this turntable. I think it would be ideal for a beginner or someone with limited space in their kitchen. There's no set up required and it folds up very neatly. I tested it against my aluminum turntable and the rotating action on this turntable isn't quite as smooth. I don't think it would make much difference to the amateur or someone who only decorates the occasional cake. So all in all, a solid pick for just about everyone.
