Wilton 9 inch Round Aluminum Cake Pan Set, 2-Piece

These wilton cake pans are terrific! Before purchasing these I have tried my hand at baking traditional cakes randomly maybe twice a year and I am consecutively no good at it. Even though my cakes tasted good there was always a huge hump towards the middle, burnt on the exterior, too wet on the interior or something like that, for this reason I had never made a birthday cake and had only ever bought store bought birthday cakes. This year my son wanted a tiered cake for his 14th birthday but the local bakery quoted me nearly $200 so I watched a few youtube videos, purchased these pans, and set out to make it myself. I have never ever made a birthday cake, this is my first time and as a first I cut to size and used some parchment paper at the base of the cake pan and that made the cake removal process quick and easy. I purchased a leveler expecting a big rise in the middle of the cake during baking but these pans cooked so awesome that I really didn't need it at all, they are good pans so they transferred the heat perfectly and made an even distribution that rose pretty much level on its on. I am very impressed and after using each pan twice to make 4 double cake tiers the cake turned out spectacular taste and appearance. Everyone thought I had bought the cake from a professional and after convincing them with photo evidence no one believed it was my first time making a birthday cake because it looked and tasted so good. The best news is it only cost me $30 for all the ingredients I needed to make this cake from scratch (not including the cost of the cake pans and leveler) instead of nearly $200. I've had family members ask me to make their next birthday cake but I will probably just stick to making them only on my kids birthday's because the process is very time consuming so I have a new level of respect for the bakers and all their hard work they put into making the cakes, it was certainly at least $200 worth of effort I put into making this cake and if I weren't a stay at home mom I probably would not attempt doing it again. As for the clean up it was super easy with these pans and the pans still look like new after having used them in the oven. The only advice I would give is to be careful not to drop these pans as I believe they may dent easily but if you use them with care, and put them away when not in use you can easily avoid that. This is my first Wilton purchase and based on these cake pans I am impressed.

Yes, it's just a cake pan. But I bought it because I needed a third layer and had just two of the same 8" cake pans. First, it matched my other pans exactly, even though the others are over 20 yrs. old. Second, my others are over 20 yrs old and still doing the job. The pans are light-colored, lightweight aluminum, which may seem bad (as in cheap), but it means that they're not as prone to overcook the sides of the cake the way heavier, darker pans will. Also, the perfectly straight sides make for a professional-looking, straight-sided cake. I have these pans in several sizes and like them a lot.

This 4 X 2 inch cake pan by Wilton is about the size of 5 cupcakes and makes a nice small cake for one or two to share. It is also the perfect size for a "smash cake" for a 1 year old's birthday party. This round pan is made of Andonized aluminum which helps it resist rusting and warping and allows it to heat evenly for uniform baking. I greased mine with butter and coated with flour but Wilton recommends their "cake release" product which I have used in the past with amazing results. Cleans up easily and is hand wash only.

Purchased 3 of these to make a tall drip cake for my grandson's birthdays which they celebrate together every year. I used some 6-inch parchment rounds to line the bottom of the pans then coated the pans with baking spray. The cakes released from the pans without a hitch. I just ran a butter knife ( blunt side) around the edges of the cakes to make sure they weren't stuck. These are aluminum pans and can stain. Mine did when I used them to set some gelled preserves for stacking between the cake layers but stains don't affect their functionality. It's suggested to fill these pans with 2-1/4 cups of batter or fill them 1/2 to 2/3 full. You should hand wash these pans and dry them immediately. I really like these and would recommend to friends and family.

I have been using Wilton products for years. In fact I still have some of my original cake pans from 20 years ago and other than normal wear and tear, they still bake my cakes perfectly without fail. So that alone tells me that their products are made of top quality materials and this pan is no exception.Then again I wouldn't expect anything less from Wilton.Their reputation for baking products, editable and non-ediable, far exceeds any other brand. That's why I've always put my trust in Wilton. I know that I'm getting my moneys worth and then some. The pan is lightweight thus making your cakes bake evenly, unlike some of the heavier cake pans that have a tendency to make cakes cook too quickly on the bottom next to burning yet leave the center and top lightly undercooked. I also like how that this is a deep dish mini cake pan which works great with my other cake pans if I'm wanting to make a tier cake but if I wanted to bake individual size cakes I would prefer it to be made into a four mold pan. Other than that, it's awesome. I also like how easy it is to clean afterwards. Just wash with warm soapy water, rinse, dry and put away. I highly recommend

This small pan is a perfect size for individual cakes at 4 inches around and 2 inches high. The lightweight aluminum is sturdy and durable. Dishwasher safe. We make cake cookies(cookie dough pressed into cake pan). Makes identical sizes for individual cakes or cookies. The size is just right as a decorating project , for all or as the top layer of a tiered cake.

This is a great little cake pan. It's perfect for making small individual cakes and for making tiered cakes. The cakes bake really well in this pan. It bakes the batter evenly and thoroughly. It is also easy to get the cake out when it's done. It cleans up easily and held up well on the top rack of the  dishwasher. I really like this pan. It's great quality and I plan to get alot more.

I really like this little pan. Coat it with non cook spray, pour in your cake batter (a little over half full) and place in the oven. I used the rest of my cake mix in a regular size cake pan and still had a full size cake. The directions say to follow the cake mix recipe but I kept an eye on it and I only had to cook it for 20 minutes and it was perfect. This makes for a great personalized little cake for that someone special.

This cute little pan makes a cute cake. I make individual cakes for the kids and let them each decorate their own cake. The pan cleans up easily and can be used again and again. I got several and make a few cakes at once to mix and match layers and flavors. Definitely a fun little pan to have!
