Windmill - 6,000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditoner - White

We had bought a smaller model last year, just to try. we ordered directly from Windmill. Through Walmart this unit was the same price on sale, but through Walmart we got free shipping. Absolutely love everything about these units, Especially the connection through the app; They are super simple to install, great instructions. This model specifically is way better. The smaller model blows the air directly up, this one blows air out at a 45 or so degree angle. This unit cools a 12×14 foot room in less than 10 minutes. They also come with remotes. The best part, they do not weigh as much as other units and they look amazing. The units have a nice design covering and protecting the outside fins, no need to worry about damaging them during storage.

The app is great. It tells me the temperature in my room. I simply turn it on before I get home or if I forgot to turn it off the app has your back... It is quiet enough, air flows up and out the sides. I turn on my ceiling fan on low it helps circulate the air, but it is not needed. I did have to do a custom installation as I have louvered window individual slates. If you have window that goes up and down it will only take minutes to install. It was a great choice for me hopefully for you too.

Needed a window unit to help cool my bedroom. It’s looks better than traditional window units. It arrived in good condition for such a large product through the mail. It was packaged well. I can’t decide it might be a little bigger than the room needs. But I’m trying to figure out a way to make it work.

Nice looking face. Air comes out the top instead of the front. I would prefer the sides. Cleans easy. Quieter than most, but still impedes conversations or tv at times. Cools off fairly well, comes with a remove, tells the current temp in house. Definitely a good buy.

I love that the air sprays up and not on your face, that you can control it with an app and set uo atomatic starts, that the face lights go off for sleep, and it cools well. We needed a bracket to install in our vinyl windows and used lots of white duct tape to seal aroind the edges.

It is not as quiet as YouTube reviews led me to believe, but it is much quieter than a regular AC. The issue I had with it is that the filter buzzes like crazy when the compressor is on. Not good for a unit that I bought specifically because it was advertised as quiet. However, I've been able to mitigate the buzzing with strategically placed pieces and strips of the provided foam. I'm still working on it, but I'm fairly confident I can get rid of all the buzzing. Otherwise, I like it very much. I love the look, the 45 degree angle blower, the magnetic grill, and I even find the remote very useful. Note: don't forget to remove the drain plug on the back. The manual doesn't mention it.

I have been wanting this for about a year and was very excited about purchasing this . The set up and installation was a piece of cake . The instructions were very intuitive and had no issues with any of the packaging or instructions. The presentation of this Windmill is premier no doubt the best packaging I’ve ever seen ! But …. This is a really loud unit and this is primarily why I bought this because my old ac unit was super loud (68db!) and I wanted an ac that would be whisper quiet . This was not it ! I honestly thought there would not be that huge of a difference from the air conditioner unit and the inverter unit but I was mistaken . Although this unit is quieter than my old one it is not as quiet as I desire . Sadly I will be returning this BUT I will be upgrading to the Windmill Inverter Whisper Tech . The whole presentation and welcoming on board of Windmill’s family was what sold me with this company and I want to be a part of something really good ! So I will not be getting rid of my app and will be patiently waiting on my new Windmill Inverter Whisper Tech! By the way , I highly recommend Windmill !

It is slighly quieter than a regular AC? Yes. Is it worth double the price than a regular AC? No. Stick with your normal air conditioner and don't waste your money.

it's beautiful, that's for sure. it doesn't circulate air and doesn't seem to get as cold as the portable ac if replaced, this thing only blows air up. as in up the window pane or the ceiling depending on how far you have it out. install steps were very confusing as well because of the minimal drawings that were provided. VERY minimal as a style choice, and it leaves a lot to be desired. I bought this to cool a small bedroom, and it could barely do that.

Ordered this AC and was sent “shipped” notification. AC proceeded to stay in-transit at some random warehouse for 1-2 months. When I called Walmart, they said it was out of stock and I’d have to wait to get my money back. It was an inconveniencing return because the first customer service rep kept telling me to buy a replacement for a more expensive price. I kept trying to explain my situation, that I’d gotten it on sale for cheaper, and asked if I could do some sort of exchange, but I don’t think she understood and pushed to end our convo by telling me to wait. I wasn’t rude either. After waiting a week, I called again and my second customer service rep was very kind and fixed the problem for me. She allowed me to return my item and get my money back. Overall, bad experience because I was very stressed I’d have to wait for an item that would never come to get my $360 back. Walmart needs to do better and not ship items that don’t exist.
