I tried this device with Xbox headphones — the experience was poor. Everything can work, but only if you're lucky.
The main issues are:
- The button does not switch the device into pairing mode (you have to unplug it and plug it into another port, sometimes several times).
- Pairing may fail altogether (for some reason, the device does not remember previous pairings).
- Even if the headphones do connect, there may be no sound, or the microphone may not work.
In the end, if you keep trying persistently, you can get everything working roughly one out of five times.
The transmission speed is also questionable. With an Xbox, the sound quality is better. It's possible that this device does not use the proprietary Xbox Wireless technology internally and instead relies on a generic radio connection.
It costs three times less than the original, so keep that in mind.
