This is perfect for jon boat seats for being able to remove and store seats. This extends life of seat and when it is time to use boat the seat will be dry. Very easy to remove and put back seat. I have used same system on back bench seat on my jon boat for 25 years. Still like new. Use these recently purchased brackets for front bench seat. Now have room for 3 of grandchildren to go fishing with me. Very easy to install brackets. Screws and bolts are good quality also.

I purchased these seat mounts and they worked perfect in my bass boat.I saw that some people did not like the sharp edges but they now come with caps on the edges so know problems now.They mount easy and you can't go wrong.

I was very impressed to find that the components are made from a very heavy gauge of aluminum - seemed extremely sturdy. Installation was very easy although I did need to add a wood spacer on the front of my seat bench as my seat has a lip on the top. Of all of the screws included, there are two with taller hex heads - make sure those go on the front of the front rail, not the top as in the instructions or the seat will not be able to slide out of the mount. great product, great price, highly recommend!

Great idea for a quick release of the seat if you wish to remove it after use. Easy to install.

I used a piece of 1 1/2" aluminum angle to help fasten the front piece to the seat and an 1 1/2" piece of flat aluminum between the back piece and my aluminum seat to keep it from cutting into the seat. It needed 4- 1/4" washers as spacers as not to be too tight to slide back and forth.

I put a pair of these in my 12' aluminum boat, one in the front and one in the rear. They come with all mounting hardware and are easy to install. I replaced the clamp on type with these and they are great. They have about 6" of side to side travel so you can easily balance the boat to different loads. I can remove the seats completely by removing just one bolt. They are well built aluminum mounts and look like they will last a long time, and feel real secure. They will not slide when you are sitting in them, they are not designed that way. Overall I am happy with them.

I modified the bracket as follows: I used stainless steel nuts and bolts to attach the back bracket to the seat, you obviously need to be able to access the underside of the seat in order to do this. I drilled two additional holes onto the horizontal surface of the front bracket, I needed to do this to accommodate two screws that would have been covered by the front bracket. I had to add stainless steel washers between the vertical portion of the front bracket and the seat bench so the bracket would be flush with the vertical side of the bench. I added two stainless steel washers to the underside of the rear bracket, without these the seat base did not slide. General comments: Some bone head thought it would be wise to affix the product labels on the box covering up the instructions. Not a big deal if you are mechanically inclined, but there could have been some tips covered up, such as the need for washers that were not included with the product. I installed a swivel base to my seat and then attached the swivel base to the sliding base.
