This works great with my outside lighted decorations! Love that it comes on and turns off by itself based exactly to the setting you have it set on. Glad I bought this!
Had one before for years, once a broke I had to get a new one. I wouldn't use anything else for my outdoor Christmas lights. And my summertime lighting around the house as well
The woods light timer 6 outlet outdoor seems sturdy . what i don't understand is that there is no instruction at all on how to operate it. I plugged it in one of the outdoor electrical socket but no lights came out.. I thought about returning it to walmart but then it took me 10 minutes to realize that there is an on /off button in the back covered by a clear rubber that we need to press in to turn the lights on. This timer is a good buy with 6 outlets.
I used the outlet for holloween and it worked great turned on at dusk and after a few hours turned off. I know I will be happy with it for Christmas....
I got this just in time for Christmas. It works great and is heavy duty. It saved me a lot of up and downs for sure. I usually have to go out and unplug all my lights. Not this year! I would highly recommend it to anyone that has to unplug things anytime of the year. Hopefully, when the snow is gone I can use it more. LOL
Absolutely recommend this for the holidays. Such an easy and helpful tool. It will save you time and money! The settings are easy to adjust and the stake stays steady in the ground. It was so nice to not have to worry about turning on and off our Christmas lights. It has 6 outlets which I thing is great! It also has a light sensor. Overall I recommend this for all your electric holiday decor.
The Woods model 13547 yard stake 6-outlet power distribution device has so much flexibility to any homeowner who is interested in temporary lighting to the outside of their house, such as Christmas lights. It offers 8 amps of capability with multiple outlets that can be set dusk to dawn, or increments of 2,4,6,8 hours of operation. It has a photocell that is controlling the dusk-to-dawn mode which operates very well regardless of whether its a dim cloudy day or a bright sunshine day when it senses the darkness. I was late in the Christmas season installing it, but regret I didn't have it the entire season because of the wiring nightmare I had prior to getting the Woods yard stake. It greatly simplified the task and with the dusk-to-dawn feature, every light string was controlled automatically and beautifully.
My old timer failed but I loved having my garden lights turn on at dusk and turn off a couple of hours later...plus the outlets are very convenient because it is easy just to turn the lights on and have it work like a regular outdoor plug in.
By the time I received this items winter had set in and the ground was either frozen or covered in snow so I only got to try it out once briefly and it worked fine. I see it coming in handy if I have a bunch of Halloween decorations outside. Even Christmas lights if I get it into the ground before freeze although I'd be nervous if it got buried with snow. Seems like it would work in many situations, I can't wait to be able to try it.
The timer does not work
