I've had trouble finding silver polish in cream form. I like the cream better than the liquid kinds. Wrights is an excellent silver cream, gentle on the silver while getting the job done without excessive elbow grease. I recommend it. It comes with a soft sponge. I have a silver plated candle opera that I've had for years. Was a present from my husband when we first started dating back when neither of us had pot to tinkle in. I love that this cream keeps it looking like it did the day he gave it to me. You can use it on Chrome, fiberglass and porcelain too.
Wright's Silver Cream is the original, gentle, all-purpose polish for all your silver and much more. It removes tarnish quickly, leaving a brilliant and even shine. I often use it on heavily tarnished silver coins that I come across and it's not just for silver, but can also work beautifully on stainless steel, chrome, porcelain, and much more. I always use Wright's Silver Cream to shine my motorcycle chrome and can be used on auto chrome as well. It can also remove scratches from CDs and DVDs, to brightening your golf clubs, and much more. I use this product because my mother, and her mother, used it. That tells me right there, this product works. It works well on lightly tarnished objects to heavy tarnished items but takes a lot of work, polish and patience. This cream is amazing, get your sponge wet, rub it on and rinse/polish it off, and be ready for a shine that will make you smile.
I am doing my review on the Wrights Silver Cream because I go to lots of thrift stores garage sales and I am always passing up silver . Not anymore . I bought a item at Goodwill and bought it home and decided to give this a try not really thinking it would do much . Boy was I surprised . You apply with a sponge that is included rub it on let it dry rub it off and Wow my item shines. I cant wait to go shopping to pick up some of that silver silverware I've been passing up. This cream doesn't really have much of a scent to it so it wont over power you if you have bad sinus trouble like I do , I would put on plastic or latex gloves as it is a little messy. Wrights silver clean gets the job done right and with little effort to a nice shine. This can be used on sterling silver, silver plate , silver jewelry ,flatware pewter chrome and porcelain. I plan on using this for a long time as you don't need a whole lot to get the job done . All that pewter and goodies at thrift stores here I come with my Wrights silver cream. Definitely you will not be sorry by purchasing this product . I wish i had thought of taken a before and after photo ,
I have always used Wrights and to me, there is nothing better. If you work it, it brings a shine to silverplate and sterling like no other. I sell online and I sell a lot of silverplate and I have never used anything else - unless I couldn't find Wrights. That happened to me a couple of months ago and I ended up purchasing something that was not useful at all. It didn't even uncover a twinkle much less a sparkle.
I wanted to try this silver polish because I have a number of silver rings that I have had for 40 plus years that were badly tarnished so I couldn't wear them. I've tried a couple so-called polishing cloths in the past that were not effective. I applied the Wright's silver cream with a toothbrush because of the intricacies in the designs of some of the rings. After brushing the polish in, I rinsed the ring with hot water and dried and buffed with a soft cloth. I did this procedure twice for each ring. They came out tarnish free and shiny. Now I can wear them again! The polish comes with a sponge applicator inside the jar to use if you're doing larger items. The container says this product can be used to polish chrome, pewter, fiberglass and porcelain as well as all silver products.
This is a nice 8 oz. jar, about half full, with a hexagon shaped sponge to use to clean your silver and other items with. This asks about scent so I had to go get the jar and smell it, it as a very very mild scent, I have serious allergies and I can smell things immediately, but there really isn't much scent to this silver cleaner, it is easy to use. I just took the sponge applicator out of the jar, then I started to polish one of my silver rings, and it cleaned and polished up very nicely, next I used it on one of my pewter, nick nacks, I started with the sponge but since the item was in a cat shape it had several grooves in it, so I resorted to using a very soft toothbrush I have had for 40 some odd years now,it worked fantastic. The bottom of the nicknack, which I never paid attention to before, was I guess really tarnished, it was shinning like a new nickel when I got through buffing and polishing it. Then just for the heck of it, I tried it on my wedding band, well, it cleans gold too, I just had to see if it would or not, so ilt looks like I will be polishing a few things around here for now, the nice thing is I didn't have to use a lot of elbow grease to get it done. This Wright's Silver Cream is a 5 for me.
Wrights silver cream is a highly effective product! It is a cream not a liquid. No phosphate chemicals. Mild, no odor, Comes with sponge for easy application. Rub polish using sponge on silver, rinse with water, dry and buff with a clean cloth. Easily removed tarnish from silver candy bowl. Paste was easy to apply versus some of the liquid brands we have used. Does not damage, pit, or harm silver. It will not remove the pitted areas, it cleans up the tarnish from corrosion, but there are other tools needed for like super deep corroded areas. Wrights silver cream easily cleans off dirt and sweat from jewelry and tarnish from silver products. My grandmother used to use Wrights on her steal refrigerator! I have used a small soft bristle toothbrush as an applicator as well as an old T-shirt. My most favorite cleaning fabric is actually Wright's Gloves - gloves that are like towels in texture infused with silver cleaner. So easy to wear, dip into the cream, and scrub away tarnish. On larger pieces, I first soak the item in a dish tub lined on the bottom with aluminum foil. Then I add a mixture of white vinegar, baking soda and water to soak the tarnish off. It's kind of fun to see how much tarnish is left actually on the aluminum foil! After soaking, I use Wright's silver cream on the remaining tarnish which it super easily takes off and leaves a beautiful shine. There is a reason why Wright's Silver Cream has such longevity as a product. Because it works!
I recently bought Wright's Silver and Cream Cleaner. After cleaning my silver cake slicers I really had to take the time to leave a review to demonstrate to others how I brim over with enthusiasm for this product. Take a look at the attached images. The two silver cake slicers in the photo were just as black as the the third one before I cleaned them. The cleaning itself was easy - I used an old rag and rubbed the cream onto the cake slicers until they were clean. I recommend this cream cleaner without hesitation.
Wright's Silver Creme really works!! I was amazed at the ease of removing the tarnished areas on some old sterling silverware. Very pleased with the results. I enjoyed my project so much that I have asked my friends if they have any silver they would like polished!
Have some grandma's serving pieces that needed to be cleaned. They we're in storage for decades. Love this relish spoon. It's so pretty and useful. The Wright's silver cream works great. Just rub the soft sponge (that came with it), with the cream and apply to whatever you need to clean which may need some extra rubbing to get the age old discoloring off. Wash off the cream with warm water and dry. It does make things brighter. I'm going to use it on other things like brass, which should do a good job on as well. Also on jewelry. I would recommend to those who wants a clean shiny job done.
