I'll be honest, when I 1st started putting it together, it seemed unstable to me. In fact, i got rather mad, as the ad said each shelf would hold up to 350 lbs each. The entire purpose was to put a 25 gallon container of water on top of it to water my garden. But as I constructed more of it, it got stronger and sturdier. Instruction were pictures that were pretty easy to understand and I had it assembled in under an hour. It seems to be doing quite well with my intended purpose for it, and I love that the blue color matches my raised planters. Nobody else offered colors like this.
The box it shipped in was so small, I thought I ordered a miniature of a shelf at first. I am very impressed at the packing of the parts into the box. I was expecting the quality to be slightly heavier, so only 4 stars, but honestly it works for what I needed, they included gloves in the kit (definitely use the gloves, the metal pieces are sharp), and it was quick and easy to put together. I kind of regret not getting the two-pack, especially now that I know they come packed so small.
Pretty good product, plenty strong. But the fit of pieces made it harder to assemble than similar racks I've purchased in Asia. They don't tell you that you'll need a rubber mallet to get the pieces to fit firmly together, and you'll have to dent the rails of some shelves to get them firmly in place.
I am rating this for what it is, not what it is projected to be. This unit is EXTREMELY flimsy. The metal can be cut by snips and the shelves are more thin strips of particle board rather than wood. I hesitate to call them shelves. They are short units and probably best for organizing small areas with lighter items. I kept them because I decided to use them for that purpose. I zip tied 2 units together for stability. See pics for material thickness. Paint mixer for reference.
Recommend to all to look at the photos very carefully. These 4 units came out to roughly 49.00 each. The photos appear to be of quality middle (not higher) end quality when acutally they are what I consider low end quality, not designed to hold any type of significant weight. Would recommend looking else where for shelving units of at least a little better grade. I planned for these to go in my garage to help with storage but limited on what we can put on the shelfs themselves. If you are storing "light" items, they would be acceptable but pretty sure you can find "like" shelving for a cheaper price elsewhere, again, this is on the buyer (me) for not reviewing more closely and checking details. . . would not even consider this, "you get what you paid for" believe they are over priced. . . .
very cheap product, horribly made, not worth the money, stay away from it, it. looks good in the pics really bad onces assembled, paint started ripping off while trying to put together, very week pieces that bends when aplying force with bear hands save your money and stay away from this product.
not what u expect at all
This item is sorry for the price I paid. It is so flimsy that it will not hold more than a few boxes without tumbling down. Wrote to them about the problem and they will not answer me back. Sorry product and sorry customer service.
just taking the poo arts out of the box and doing the inventory caused my hand to bleed. got a cut on top of the hand. absolutely the nightmare to assemble it. instructions recommended rubber mallet to pound the hooks in. another person has to hold the pieces in position first to do that .
Dislike. It's paper thin metal and board. It is literally as thin as a credit card or two. Some pieces were missing and contacted the seller through walmart site. No response whatsoever til this day. We just used piece of wood to hold the middle part (that's where the missing parts were). I think using piece of wood makes it stronger than paper thin metal. We thought about returning but you'll have to pay for return and chance of getting refund is probably as thin as the material they use for this product. Waste of money. I wish I could give this product/company negative star.
