Yehuda Matzo Gefilte Fish Original, 24 oz

this is definitely a five-star product. I have never gotten a bad batch the fish always looks nice and section pieces taste wonderful the brine is awesome probably the best gefilte fish I've ever had. eat it chilled do not try to warm it up. I think this is one of the few items that is priced correctly. you can really serve this as a dessert or an appetizer each jar is six to eight pretty moderately sized pieces in it one piece would make a great appetizer two pieces would be a great dessert. believe it or not my wife will put a little bit of maple syrup on top of it, just a drizzle when she was pregnant. I tried it it's actually not bad.

I ordered 6 to get free shipping. I have ordered 5 times and each time one or more jars have arrived broken, leaking, and or loose lids. Walmart has been very good about giving me credit fot damaged jars. This is the first time all jars arrived intact so maybe this problem has been resolved.

This is by far the best tasting jarred Gefilte fish out there. It is not sweet but if you cook carrots and onions in simple syrup (one part water, one part sugar) and spoon over the fish it will give it just a touch of sweetness. The original is much less expensive than the sweet version of this brand of Gefilte Fish, so I find that adding the sweet carrots and onions enhances the original version just fine. Can be used as an appetizer before your meal or have 2 pieces with some lettuce and tomatoes for a light lunch. Good source of protein.

This is one of the few brands of gefilte fish that does not use MSG in their product. I hope they will continue to do that. they could put more fish in the jar and less gelatin.

wish you'd let me order the sweet with the same ease and price as this regular original flavor. I guess it's in the secret Walmart shipping rules where you have to order multiples to get your item

I thought that I've had this brand before, but I didn't like it as much this time. It tasted a little sweet, which was okay, but the texture seemed "off".

When i first received the package one of the bottles was leaking. I requested a refund and was told to send it back. Well I couldn't send back a broken bottle in the mail, and I told you all that, then I just let it go. Well over course of a month or so (gefilte fish lasts a long time) I opened a bottle and it was rotten. Then another, same thing. All of the bottles had the button popped, which means it had been opened or just was not good anymore. I ended up throwing all bottles away. Its been a while, though so not sure if I can get my money back.

The first delivery of 2 jars was leaking into the bag. It should have been packed in a box with some cushioning. I accepted the package because of my curiosity. Both jars leaked because the lid was off on one and the other the lid was poorly on. Deflate when opened needs to be refrigerated. Therefore the fish was no good and it was compromised I called and was asked if I wanted a credit or the product replaced . Because this is a treat for me I wanted it to be replaced. The next delivery came pretty quickly. It was packed in a box and lids were on tight. Therefore I was able to store one jar and opened the other, ate it, enjoyed it and then refrigerated it.

Great product but very pure shipping package. One can was opened and liquid was spilled inside. This was the second try to purchase this Item The first time I received one glass can completely broken and 2 cans with open lids. An big mess inside of package of course. So this time I put some instruction note to handle with care please because the glass items inside please. But it did not work I get the package with mess inside again.

The vacuum seal on the item breached and it leaked all over the box. I threw it out and now you expect me to return it? This is total nonsense. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM WALMART AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
