Aunt Nellie's Sweet & Sour Red Cabbage Jar, 16 oz

I find that sauerkraut is often.. well.. too sour. This is a nice compromise to give a meal a European flavor without actually using sauerkraut. Great with schnitzel or sausages. Can keep a bottle in the kitchen until you want a little pick me up for your meal or sandwich. Great when added to a Reuben sandwich instead of sauerkraut. Our local restaurant calls it a Red Reuben.

i have been purchasing AUNT NELLIE'S SWEET AND SOUR RED CABBAGE for many years and i absolutely love it- you don't ever need to heat it--- it is good warm or cold and can be eaten alone or mixed in with stews - save the juice to pickle boiled eggs or drink it- the diet trend i am following right now calls for the addition of fermented veggies and this fits the bill perfectly- i also save the jars because they have lids and are a good size for numerous uses-

The texture, sweetness and the sour was perfect for having with my rouladen and gnocchi for my traditional dinner. I can also picture that it will be great on sandwiches for that savory sweet flavor.

This is the exact flavor I remember as a kid. Sweet and sour cabbage in a jar was the only food that wasn't fresh that my step-father would allow in the house. i can eat this cold or heated, as a side with a meat and potatos or a healthy addition to a salad. You can't get better.

Aunt Nellies red cabbage is great. it is far better then anything else I have tasted. it's good both ways but my favorite way is room temperature prefer Aunt Nellies also make great tasting pickled red beets. They are great as a garnish or in a salad

I just love, love, love these Aunt Nellie's beets. They are sooo good. I put them in my salad or just eat them whenever. Always have an extra bottle so I don't ever run out.

Fell in love with this cabbage. It has a beautiful flavor, texture is cabbage, still there. Doesn't last long in fridge. Excellant side with any meal. Probably very good on bbq and hot dogs, my next try!

Was expecting this to taste like pickled coleslaw. Nope, it is very mushy. You don't even have to chew. Put a spoonful in your mouth, and just press your tongue to the roof of your mouth to mash to very soft cabbage. Tastes nothing like cabbage, or pickled cabbage. Nothing to chew. Almost like eating coleslaw pate. The flavor is good, but texture sucks.

I've never received them. in fact that entire order was totally wrong. since I wasnt aware of Walmart protocol I forfeited alot of money.

I am very pleased with Walmart and they deliver the order but someone stole it before I got home. I guess they needed it more than I did.
