Del Monte Red Grapefruit in Light Syrup, 15 oz

Tastes Fantastic. Even the juice is awesome. I use it as a snack. Much cleaner/easier than whole fruit (pour it in a bowl and eat with a spoon). It's very easy to eat for people with bad/no teeth. One minor point: I bought this same product in the store and the slices were mostly whole slices. In the 12 pack the grapefruit was broken up into small pieces, almost smashed. It still tasted good but there were no whole slices in any can. Probably why I ended up using a spoon. I still give it an overall 5 star rating because it tasted fresh with just the right level of sweetness. As long as the price is right I will order again.

Delicious! My family likes it a lot. Doesn't taste like a can. Doesn't taste like all the additives that are in the jarred, refrigerated kind. Just tastes like red grapefruit slightly sweetened. I add just a slight bit more. Yum!

Unlike most canned fruit Del Monte Red Grapefruit is just as delicious as freshly peeled red grapefruits. No pits to remove. No rind to peel. Keep a few cans in your refrigerator for breakfast, for a fruit salad, or for a dessert. It's SWEET, not sour, not bitter. Use the juice for cocktails or for a fruit juice.

I just started to like grapefruit the last few years. My local walmart doesn't sell fresh produce, so i am forced to buy canned or frozen. This is delicious!! They could fill it with more fruit n less juice, though. The price is very high, so i dont order it as much as i would at a lower price. i definitely recommended. (I would like to see sales on this item, too.)

this product had very good flavor but the texture is poor as most of the grapefruit sections are in small pieces, broken up. for the price i would expect more whole sections of the fruit. visually %26 texture is poor!

This is one of the few things my mom really likes to eat. She is elderly and I try to keep any food that she likes on hand. Even though it is in light syrup it is still sweet enough. The bites are of a fairly good size, the can is full of fruit, not just overloaded with juice. The fruit is firm and fresh tasting (not mushey). To me the taste was as good as a fresh grapefruit without all the trouble of digging out the fruit. I thought the price was very competitive at $1.38 per can (Mar 2017). Another good thing I noticed is the expiration date is at least a year out from the date it arrives. So my order was not seconds, or a last attempt to get rid of an overstocked item. I am well pleased with this order, actually it is my second order.

I ran across this at Walmart. I couldn't believe it! I would eat a whole can of this when I was a kid…it's still delicious! I still eat a whole can at once! I thought they changed and made it only in a container and you can only find it in the cold part of the produce section. The can is just as delicious and it much cheaper! Now I have cans of it in my pantry!

I usually peel grapefruit and eat them like oranges but they have gone up in price. With grapefruit $1 per in the grocery stores you can't beat this. The work is done for you, the price is reasonable and eaten solo, on a salad or with cottage cheese it's simply perfect.
