I have a very old gas canister. It still holds propane and I keep up with its maintenance. Somehow I lost my old coupler and was happy to find this one. The only issue was the brass is not as dense as my old one and chipped while I was installing it. Nothing drastic. A bit of brass flaked off the center nut and, though I was using a pipe wrench, a quality of the product would not shave like this did.

I was having trouble in attempts to put together different fittings to fix my propane hose and luckily this item was listed at lower price for a short time, i wouldnt be able to use propane at all if not for this item being on sale.
