Zebco 33 Spincast Reel and Fishing Rod Combo, 6-Foot 2-Piece Rod, Purple

I picked up the Zebco 33 Spincast Combo from Walmart recently and have been really impressed with how user-friendly and smooth it is. It's ideal for beginners, but even as someone who's fished off and on for years, I find myself reaching for it more often than I expected. Right out of the box, it was pre-spooled and ready to go. I took it out to a local pond the same day and caught a few panfish and a decent-sized bass. Casting is super smooth, and I didn't deal with any line tangles or frustrating snags, which is a huge win in my book. I really like these Zebco 33 Spin Cast Combo Reels. This is the second one I've purchased for my grandkids. They're well made and will last them for many years. We've already had good luck with the first one for my 6 year old grandson catching a number of blue gill and pumpkin seed. His younger brother is at an age to get him started, so it was an easy decision to get him his own Zebco 33 Spin Cast Combo. They're easy to use for kids and durable. The cajun line that comes on it seems to have a tendency to twist after a while but nothing a little conditioning and stretching won't resolve,

I opted not to buy the cheapest rod/reel and this one was $40 with tax so I thought I'd try it. I was pleasantly surprised at the way it cast and the distance with very light sinkers .

My father gave me my first Zebco 33 at about the age of 10. I am 77 now and thought I would treat myself to a new one. It's still fantastic and easy to use. Keep it up Zebco!

This Zebco 33 Spincast Reel and 6' Fishing Rod Combo appears to be of the same quality as my 60 year old Zebco, Ease of use made this a great rod and reel combo for my 10 year old beginner grandson.

I'll be 63 year's old in August of '26'. I have literally been fishing since 1969, and I have used Zebco. From the Zebco 202, all the way to the Zebco 33 Classic! Imho, it's the very best, overall fishing Combo, on the market! Everything about it, From the metal gears, to the anti-reverse feature! Don't wonder, you can't go wrong!

After botching the delivery of this rod/reel, Walmart sent a replacement rod/reel. The 2 piece rod on this rod/reel combo came with a different part of a rod (from an ocean type of rod) stuck on top of this lightweight freshwater rod. So, there are now two mismatched rods out there. Will return this rod/reel combo. Seriously Walmart, is it too much to ask to have your employees and contractors have just a modicum of pride in their work and a: deliver to the correct home and b: ensure that the product you are sending out matches what was ordered. Two issues with this order. Several issues with prior orders!

bought this for my husband for Father's Day went to use it for the first time the rod is fine the reel is defective it will not cast right not the line will not extend out. I paid 30.00 something dollars for this I expect it to work. or at least get my money worth. I will be returning it for another one or a refund.

I actually ordered 2 each of the 3 pack zepco 33's. Upon delivery only a package of 2 individual zepco 33's were delivered but yet the package stated it was a package of 3 each. Customer support is requiring me to return the items received in order to receive a full refund. Very disappointed, discouraged and frustrated with Walmart.

The pressing knob (for releasing) got stuck with wheels inside stuck in the first day of use itself! I could use it a few times today as first fishing day of the season, it it broke! Never expected such low quality. Spoiled my whole plan of fishing.
