128G Metal 3.0 USB Drive

music is therapy someone. I lost 30 to 40 GB of music I had accumulated over the last few years on my current phone. it was depressing and stressful, so it doesn't happen again. I bought myself this thumb drive to backup my music. it works perfect for that, it's just music. so for me it's writing about 50 MB per second and reading about the same amount. I watched lots of reviews but they were irrelevant. I only cared about backing up my music, so I always have it available in the near future. do yourself a favor and if you have music and pictures or other documents on your phone, get one of these. I like knowing that if my phone or to crash for some reason or stop working because it's past its life that I have my music backed up and start away on a thumb drive. so far I have only back the 10 GB onto the thumb drive and I still have at least a little over a hundred left so it's definitely doing its job. it's stainless steel I believe. so it's sturdy and it's not going to be carried around. mostly used to back up files and then store it in a safe spot. there is no cap to cover the USB portion of the thumb drive but it is very small and compact my first attempt I transferred 10 GB of music and it was cold to the touch. unlike other reviews floating the internet of people stating that it was getting hot. I'm actually thinking of purchasing another of the exact same capacity and gifting it so it can be used to backup a phone. it was less than $20 which was cheap in my opinion.

have been using this SanDisk 128GB Ultra Flair Flash Drive for a while now and it is exactly what I needed for moving files back and forth. The metal casing is the best part because it feels really solid and durable, so I do not have to worry about it getting crushed or the plastic snapping if it is on my keychain or in my bag. The transfer speeds are impressive for a drive this size. I can move large folders of photos or video files in just a few seconds without it slowing down halfway through. It does get a little warm to the touch when you are moving a lot of data at once, but that is pretty normal for a metal drive and it has never affected the performance. The 128GB capacity gives me plenty of room for all my backups and work projects. It is a reliable, high quality little drive that looks great and actually performs at the speed it promises.

I’ve been using this for a couple months (all day, every single day!) and have had zero problems. Super fast, super sleek, and great price. I will say, though, I’m more familiar with the old-school ones that had a sliding case type thing that you could push up to cover the male USB part. Still, it hasn’t been an issue, it’s pleasing to the eye, and it’s been extremely reliable with my Mac. I also appreciate that I can effectively download directly onto the flash drive, without taking up space on my laptop. Note: in photo, the SD thumb drive is plugged into a USB-C adapter (barely shown). PS I like the keychain “loop” touch. I never thought I’d use it, but I already ended up using it once, looped a bit of strong string into/around it to make it easier to find in my computer case. It’s tiny!

The day I received this High Speed USB Memory stick I filled it up with near 100gb of video. It had no problems with my downloads and no problems with transferring the same data to another laptop for viewing! I would gladly buy another soon...

It’s very small and 1 1/2 inches long approximately. I’m afraid I’m going to lose it somewhere so I put it into a Ziploc bag and put that into my laptop. Carrie case it does not have a cover on the end either like most of them.

The Scandisk 128G thumb drive performed beautifully. My computer recognized it immediately, no software to download/install. I downloaded all the files on my computer as a backup, and the install was fast and smooth. I like the metal surrounding the thumb drive. It looks great and, I believe, the quality will last. I was thrilled to find a quality brand thumb drive with so much space and a price I was happy with.

These flash drives are nice - just plug in and go. The main body of the drive is metal with a plastic clip on the top so you can place it on a keyring, etc. They are sturdy and can handle being in a bag or on a keyring without issue. They are better at dispersing heat so I've found there is less failure than the plastic drives. SanDisk drives are reliable and these are good to have on hand for backups.

Would I buy it again? Nah, I hate the design. I don't need 128GB storage on a single thumb drive and Walmart did not have smaller sized quality thumb drives. I would much rather have a 4-pack of 16GB or 8-pack of 8GB drives. I cannot stand the design, I am sick of companies leaving out a solid USB cap to save a few pennies profit and the plastic lanyard clip is just plain weird. And it's too tiny! It's literally about the size of the first segment of my thumb, so it's a 2-finger hold instead of 3 or 4-finger grasp to insert/pull out. As for performance, ease of use and durability, it's spot on, except for no protection. I only need 8GB, 16GB or 32GB but there you have it. If I had time, I would have bought one elsewhere. However, i went online and bought some USB caps so I can be assured the connector stays safe.

Perfect for what I'm using it for. Using it for my music to play in my car once my ipod died on me. Only thing it doesn't do is categorize the music folders but it's better than when I was using my old android phone to play music in my car. It wouldn't play the song if it was over a certain number of MBs it was considered too large of a music file to play. The USB play any size song and I'm good now finally after 2 years
