Talk about tasty and value for the money. These beans cook up quickly and with a little chicken broth, carrots, onions and seasoning . Served mine with crispy Connecuh and cornbread and I was southern satisfied.
The Camellia brand beans are top quality and cook up so nice. Flavor is creamy and exactly what you expect it to be. Price was perfect! Over all probably my best purchase this year!
Fresh and cooked in minimal time. Very pleased!

was ordering butter beans Lima what i got was regular lima beans lacking in flavor took longer time to get
The item w a s NOT what I ordered. I ordered Large limas and received baby limas.
Bitter bitter BITTER ! I can't say enough, how bitter these beans were , so I googled it and I found out this information , Yes, many other dry bean enthusiasts have reported that large lima beans (also known as butter beans) occasionally taste intensely bitter, with several noting this experience specifically with Camellia brand. Why Do They Taste Bitter?Naturally Occurring Toxins (Cyanogenic Glucosides): Lima beans contain trace amounts of these natural plant defenses, which can cause a sharp, almost "poison-like" bitter taste. Cultivated beans are bred and regulated to have safe, low levels, but specific growing conditions or heirloom varieties can sometimes cause higher concentrations. I normally buy great value brand which never have this problem. I should've stuck a great value in the first place..!
Didn't read any reviews and trusted a butter bean was a butter bean. Cooked as usual, no problems...until we tasted them. They *are* bitter! Won't but again!
I have cooked Limas many times and have not had this experience. My latest batch had an awful bitter taste. Very disappointing waste of time and preparation.
I've had these beans before and I love them but this batch from the moment that I tasted them they were not burnt in any way not even scorched but they tasted so bad you could have sworn that have been burnt black and they weren't I and I wasn't the only one that felt that way my whole family hated him and I love butter beans and the last ones I bought were great this batch wasn't I don't know why but I just thought you should know thank you
