since I'm totally plant based this is my go to for a very good plant based "mayo", it's great in every way. taste, texture, ingredients, price. I don't use a ton, but I could. Familiar brand lends to confidence in production as well. I recommend if you want a very good plant based dressing
I've bought this many times. I'm impressed with the flavor and price. Hellman makes the best plant based mayo and gives us the best price. I bet people who eat egg-based mayo wouldn't know the difference. I ate egg-based for 40 years. Sometimes, I can't eat it all before it expires. Otherwise, I've never had any issues with it.
I LOVE this plant-based mayonnaise!! I began using this because my stomach always became so upset when I made things using regular mayonnaise. I really enjoy the taste and texture of this mayonnaise. I use it in everything, dressings, sandwiches, tuna fish and chicken salad! I am grateful!
Tastes even better than regular mayonnaise and doesn't contain egg or soy. I can only find the squeeze bottles on shelves now, but the larger bottles are available online. If you can't eat eggs or soy, but enjoy foods made with mayonnaise like potato salad, you should give it a try.
It's not mayonnaise, I'm ok with that. It has been a wonderful alternative, whether it's actually healthier for you, I'm not sure. I'm trying to lower saturated fats but also increase my intake of unsaturated fats. Works well with making sauces. All around I enjoy this product very much. I'm willing to pay the stupid price too.
We use vegan mayo due to an egg allergy and this is the closest option to the taste of regular mayo that we have found. We use this to replace mayo in recipes and on sandwiches and it tastes great. Highly recommend for anyone that is either vegan or needs to avoid eggs.
You can literally put this as a substitute for our old staple, Mayonnaise. Make egg salad, fish salad (I use Salmon, wild), tuna good also for sandwiches. Like to mix this with some Southwestern mustard for a change . As an accompaniment with warm veggies and many more that your mind conjures. Healthy..........
was genuinely impressed with Hellmann's Plant Based Mayo. The texture is perfectly creamy and smooth, and the flavor is spot-on — rich, tangy, and just like traditional mayo without any weird aftertaste. It works great in sandwiches, dressings, dips, and even potato salad. As someone who's vegan, I love that I don't have to compromise on taste or quality. Even non-vegans can't tell the difference. This has become a staple in my fridge!
This has the taste of regular mayonnaise and just great on sandwiches, as part of potato, macaroni, or tuna salad. The price is a little high, but a little goes a long way, perfect for vegetarians and vegans and has no aftertaste. I go through more in the summertime, but it's still nice to have a full-size container of mayonnaise year round
I enjoy the taste of Hellmans original. This said it tasted like it. Says so right on the Jar. I can tell you it does not taste like it at all. The eggs put a flavor in it that can't be replaced. I was extremely disappointed. Hoping I had found a lower fat friendly mayo that wasn't light (which I believe isn't good for you.) Never again will I purposely buy this. Whether you want to try it is up to you. But don't expect the same flavor.
