We like this product and purchase it occasionally when we get a tired of chicken %26 pasta. Would like a version with beef sauce, rather than bbq sauce.
wanted to buy ribs but all out of stock. I figured I'd try this. Was happily suprised. Lots of big chucks of meat. put it on onion roll it was amazing. Not disappointed at all. Will be definitely buying more in the future.
This is great! They could even save a little money and cut back on bbq sauce, there's more than enough.
This is one of my favorite Hereford meats ranking with their meatballs. The red sauce BBQ flavor is sweet with mild spice. The meat is very soft and falls apart easily. I enjoy having these on hand for a conveniently quick, economical lunch or dinner. You will need to remove it from the pouch to heat in the microwave. You may get 2 very small servings from one pouch but serves as 1 for myself when eating without side items. I caution you to pay attention to the expiration dates on the Hereford products as I've received several a month to 1.5 years past the BB date that were delivered from the store or shipped from Walmart.
The main issue is that it has shredded meat.brst used poured over rice for those who love rice.Sausce is like Chinese "General chicken" flavor.Doesnt need refrigeration So good for camping trips.easy to microwave. Emergency food supply .so I will probably order more.Try it.it is an acquired taste.but not bad.
Not very tasty. Nice chunks of meat but mostly too little meat and sauce was thin and tasted like a can. I won't eat it again
Okay. I know. Three stars sounds bad. However, you might still like this, depending on your taste for barbecue sauce. The sauce in this ... tasted weirdly of BEETS. Strongly even. It's possible I'm oversensitive to it, but it was definitely nottttttt for me because I do NOT enjoy beets >_< otherwise, very strong value for price. Even if it doesn't meet my nutritional plan standards. Here's one more thing to consider, though: I am a FREAK and I often eat shelf-stable stuff cold straight outta the package, whether pouched or canned or jarred. IT IS PROBABLY MUCH BETTER HEATED UP. I'll even probably get it at least one more time in the future to try it properly warmed up to see if that negates the weird earthy beet-like flavor haunting the cloyingly sweet profile of its barbecue sauce. Honestly I kinda wish they perhaps didn't put sauce in it...? Like, what if it were still beef rib meat, but Bring Your Own Sauce? Sweet Baby Ray's would have been glorious on this.
The taste is sweet but salty, however, the meat was tough and a bit stringy. Wondered if it was actually beef. Good in a pinch over rice or in a soft tortilla, but differs than expected.
There's only enough in here for one small sandwich. The taste is okay but the beef is overcooked and tough.
WHAT a gyp! There was barely any meat in this package, and certainly NO RIBS. The sauce was tasty however.
