If you have used this type of material before, you are used to it. This is a stiffer version of what you may have used before, but it's solid enough to work through a space without bunching up. It was easy to trim and was simple to push wire through. Great price to boot. Can't complain about that.
My cat will never chew through this! Actually got this for CPAP hose which would easily string through the tube. It's bulky and my guy doesn't like it for his hoses. I love it for my laptop charging cord! I did have to slit it to fit the cord in but now I feel safe my cat won't chew it up, she's shown signs of thinking it's a toy. My charger cord is harder than CPAP hoses to replace so I'd have given it a 5 but gave it a 4 considering my intended use didn't work out.
Not quite sure why they call it 3/8" when the opening is 1/2" but none the less it is three times stronger than OEM and not precut if you are doing a new wiring install. Definitely critter proof if mice have been chewing up your car wiring when parked outside.
Sometimes ya don't need the split and this doesn't have a split. I've come to like it better than the split loop. Says it's working temp is a maximum of 180f. I haven't tested that yet, but I haven't melted any yet either.
I was able to straighten it out by applying hand heat and tension. Sadly my grand idea of making a syphon shower didn't work. Yet. I know I'll try it again and maybe it'll work
To properly protect wiring, this product works well. The only problem is that I had to split it to install the wiring. This product is a solid holder and needs to be split. My mistake was that I should have paid closer attention to the description. It still worked through. it just took longer to install.
It is very difficult to work with because of extreme stiffness. You can easily cut your hand trying to open it up the side. It should already be split up the side the way the old design was if they were going to make it so stiff you couldn't handle it.
Thought i was getting cut corrugated tubing. Turns out wasnt cut. 20 mins and a razor blade took care of it however wasnt nearly as niece and already cut, Be more specific about cut or uncut.
This tubing is very ridged and is not split...I used heavy duty shears to split it and it was very difficult. Then when I was feeding the wire into the split I made the wire was so ridged. I had to take breaks so that I would not pull my hair out. It is heavy duty, but not for wires with plugs.
very stiff and holds memory folds. tried using it for a trailer to cover the plug wires, had to take it off.
