Super yummy!

I top it on my cheesecake because my grandma used to do the same, and it's really good!!!

Best for a 9 x 9 pan when baking. My recipe cost for 2 tablespoons of melted butter then I pour the filling directly into that in a 9 x 9 pan. I mix one cup of self rising flour, half a cup of brown sugar half a cup of regular sugar and a cup of milk. I stir that up really good and then I poured directly over the pie filling. Before baking I top it with brown sugar and regular sugar and nine little pots of butter before I put it in the oven for 350 for one hour. Serve warm with either vanilla ice cream or Cool Whip. Delicious fast dessert

I use this brand for years. I was going to make a cheesecake but this was not available so I chose another premium brand. Unfortunately the cherries were not as good as Lucky Leaf although texture was about the same.

definitely worth the dollar extra for this brand and its "premium" version. Superior to store brand in every way -- taste, texture and also the number of cherries versus the syrupy stuff that binds everything. For a 10" pie plate, you need for sure two cans and could fit three if using a top crust with slits and/or fork pokes for steam release. By the way, you can freeze pre-cut slices on a cookie sheet and then once hard, wrap them individually. they taste every bit as good as freshly baked.

Lucky Leaf Cherry filling is the Best

Julia April 15, 2026

I've tried several brands of cherries and this brand is the closest to my mom's homemade cherry pies. Most were too tart or bland but Lucky Leaf is the best. I just add a little cinnamon %26 sugar and fold it up in puff pastry. Just like moms.

The product is itself was wonderful. We enjoyed the cherry pie filling, but I ordered two double packs of them and only got two single cans when I tried to get a refund they want me to bring back the extra cans. Well, I didn't have them.

Nasty, Rotted...

Eugenia December 23, 2025

Imagine my horror when opening the can to find a black substance throughout! It's Christmas Eve, 6 a.m., and I'm making a Trifle with homemade whipped cream that must stay chilled. What to do? I sent my husband to Harris Teeter for a replacement in any brand other than this one!
