My 2014 Ford Taurus Limited with the 3.5L has lived its hole life using Mobil 1 5W20, and at 137,000 it's purring like a kitten. Change my own oil and use the Mobil 1 oil filter every 5,000 miles, and when it's ready for an oil change, my dip stick still reads FULL. New cars can't match that record!
I've been using Mobil One Full Synthetic Extended Performance Motor Oil in 4 different vehicles for many years now. The blend of 8 additives keeps engines clean , reduces friction and wear, and protects gaskets from failure. paired with Mobil One Full Synthetic Extended Performance Oil Filters I get 10,000 miles between oil changes. Walmart seems to always have the lowest prices available.
Excellent protection against LSPI. I had purchased a new vehicle in 2009 with a gasoline powered turbo direct injected engine and trusted my new car to another oil brand priding themselves as “the first in synthetics”. After about 90k miles I had to rebuild the cylinder head twice from burned exhaust valves from the newly discovered phenomenon of LSPI. Later discovered that Mobil 1 already met the requirements of SN Plus/SP rated oils where my previous oil did not. Should have just used Mobil 1 from the beginning as I did in all my other vehicles.
best oil on the market broke a serpentine belt that stopped the water pump from work she drove it tacked on temp hand red lined for about 5 minutes no other oil would have held motor from blowing 2nd on list is Valvoline. But lasting 20000 miles it's stupid to not pay few more $ even tho I'd change it around 15000 miles motor runs like a top looks brand new inside with 262,000 miles on the car winter I run 5w20 summer 5w30
I have been using this on a handful of vehicles over the last several years. Some since new and one used 1998 Civic the girlfriend got used with 225K miles on it. I switched it to this oil and she made another 40K before losing the head gasket. I was more impressed tearing the engine apart replacing the head gasket and everything as I went noticing how clean the engine was. I have torn engines apart clear back in the 90's on conventional oil, and a few different brands of blends to full synthetics since. This being the cleanest internal engine and components and I was expecting the worst since we got it 3rd hand used. She only got another 20K on it after the head gasket, but that was not the oils fault. Almost 300K and the last roughly 60K was on this and kept it clean until it was just worn out and broke. Had to tear into the riding lawn mower I got new in 2008 been running M1 Extended in since new and lost the head gasket on it in 2022. Internals looked amazing and is still going strong today averaging 100 hours a year on it for 18 years. My work truck doesn't burn any oil and over 120K miles running it since it was new. The only other oil I feel is a fair comparison is Amsoil. This has been a great product and highly recommend.
I only truste Mobile 1 in our 2019 Mustang GT California Special! Quality, availability and price are excellent.
Mobile makes the oil for Honda and this oil is of the highest quality. If you have a high mileage Honda, this product should be your first choice after Honda OEM oil.
As far as I am concerned this is the best oil you can put in your car or truck. My car says to change my oil every 10,000 miles. I use this oil and change it every 8000 miles even tho it is good for 20000 miles. I just don't believe that car manufacturers want their vehicles to last forever, they want you to get a new one.
This is a blend of group III and group IV oils. While it is a good, overall synthetic, it is not as good as alternatives that are full group IV true synthetics.
Mobil 1 is great oil however one of the four arrived leaking and another one was the wrong weight oil. I would suggest not getting motor oil from Walmart as 1/2 of the ones I ordered were not good. When I ordered it said the order would be delivered the same day, however none arrived on time, in fact 2 arrived one week later.
