I initially saw this online for under $3. I went into the store and tried to find the product, but the only one on the shelf was $4-$5. I ordered it online, assuming potentially that the product wasnt out on display; however, the product i received was the same one i saw when i entered walmart to find it. I got the product for the online price and didnt have to persuade the cashier to price-match it. im satisfied with the price and product.
This is one of those things we all hope that we never need... but I bought 2 - one for the car and one here at home. Great value for such a valuable product!
Now, granted it was not an emergency situation but I did test it out in the cold. It does it's job. Wrapped up in it and soon I was sweating . Again idk if it was an emergency situation, how the item would do but for my needs , it works well.
Great item to keep on hand while hiking in Winter. Purchased to line feral cat shelters (outside ). Works amazingly and generously sized. Buying additional ones to keep in car. Great item for safety and protection.
AN EMERGENCY NECESSITY. BUY SEVERAL FOR HOME POWER OUTAGES, CAR, CAMPING, IMPENDING SHOCK OF ACCIDENT VICTIMS, GIVE TO HOMELESS. GOOD FOR KIDS' TREE FORTS.
I bought this to line the inside of an outdoor cat house. I used a layer of bubble wrap, with this emergency blanket over it. It holds in a decent amount of heat. The kitties are happy. The material is thin and crispy, but they dont mind at all. It would be great for emergencies (its intended purpose). I might buy another few of these to add to the car and house first aid kits.
We have used this blanket multiple times and places with very good performance! The blanket has held up very well and have gotten the most use out of this blanket then other brands we have used. You may not think when you open these that they will work well or even last because it is made up of like a very thin foil but this blanket does work and better then using a throw. They are able to be cut if u are just trying to heat up hands or feet because they are very long, no worries if it will cover your whole body. With the very small size and able to reuse and reuse this would be 1 of the best blankets to purchase in my opinion, I can't see you regretting this blanket and the warmth it will provide.
This worked great. I was visiting my homeless freind in another state. Didn’t want to pack blankets. Even though it was spring, Portland OR can get cool at night. This worked great outdoors no tent. When I left after 2 weeks it was still good so gave it to him..
I've been testing this out around the house for the last week or so. I received this for free to test it out and give an honest review. I have to say that it's pretty useful. I haven't been camping in that time frame and haven't been able to test it out in that way. But, I did place it under the covers the other night when we had a cool and stormy night and woke up a couple hours later sweaty from it. So, I can see it being helpful in a survival situation. It keeps your body heat from escaping. Every backpack and automotive glove box should have a couple of these in them. I've thought of several other great uses for it also. You could use it for water collection in emergencies. It's a large sheet of plasticized tinfoil (basically). You could suspend it outdoors and quite a bit of water should condense on it overnight and early mornings (cooler weather times). It could also be used for winterizing windows for people who have the older wooden windows they have to seal up yearly.
Trying to help a squirrel survive the bitter cold. Her ? nest is on the other side of “my” window, built into some vines. I purchased a survival blanket in an attempt to keep the nest warmer, dry %26 safer from predators. I specifically requested no silver or shiny color. In fact, I requested green or a green camouflage.. Of course, there were two shiny silver blankets in the bag. Attention Walmart Employees:: learn to read!
