The Pen + Gear Money Pouch Security Deposit Utility Zipper Bag in Black Leatherette Material has a smooth exterior surface, and soft black interior cloth surface. The zipper is steady and reliable, although not overly durable. With normal use it should last a long time, but the zipper is most likely the thing that will go out first. I checked the tag to see what the material of this bag was and it doesn't say. In one listing I saw it said leather, and another said leatherette. I think it's probably the latter, and is a faux leather material and it's likely not as durable as leather either. This bag is not made like they used to, with thicker real leather and a larger more durable zipper, but it still does the job and at a lower price point. I would recommend this bag. It does the trick.

Great size to keep money and important things handy. I am in charge of an honor snack system we have at work and I keep the money in a bag locked up in my locker. This bag is stitched well and made sturdy. Fits all my receipts and money to keep track of it easily.

This pen and gear security money pouch is a great simple zipper pouch for basic needs. It is not weather or fire proof so please keep that in mind. We used this for two events so far. Once at the food sales during the football game and once for the kids last lemonade stand before the weather let up. You can stack tons of money inside although we didn’t have more than $225 total. There was still plenty of room! It zippered up easily and was big enough not to lose. It fit in my hoodie pocket(the inside hidden pocket) and it also fit inside the safety-box on top of the separated cash. I do recommend for anybody’s simple and basic money gathering needs.

The reason for my 4 stars is only because of the given title for this bag. It clearly reads “leather”. It’s definitely NOT real leather. This is a nice quality product and I enjoy using it for my banking transactions but I would suggest the name reflects the product. I do recommend this to anyone looking for a zipper pouch.

This money bag reminded me of my Grandpa's leather money bag. His was real leather and you can still remeber the leather smell. When I recieved this one, I was remenisine. It looks like a real leather bag on the outside. When you open it up the material inside is soft cloth material. I did like the size and it is made up of adequate materials. You can us it as a money bag or to save documents or anything you wish to use it for. Zipper works well. You get what you pay for.
